I'm rather surprised by some of the other earlier reviews on this product (2014 to 2015). Either the company has started to focus more on quality, I was just lucky, or they were just unlucky...I ordered black. It came in a HUGE box (almost twice the size of the product). Inside was a smaller box (more appropriate with the size of the actual frame) with extra paper padding. Inside the smaller box the actual frame was wrapped completely in bubble wrap, and was in great condition. From the front the quality of the frame is great. Edges flush, no blemishes. There's a really small gap on the particle board for the backing, but it's what I would expect from a pre-fab frame. The tabs that hold the backing in place are of good quality, and address the small gap with no problem. It also came with hooks installed already for hanging - both horizontally or vertically.Frame and matting are true to size (although the print I had ordered to place in it was not). The matte is not extremely high quality, but you can't tell when just looking at it.Overall - had I noticed the poor reviews before buying this, I might have skipped over it. In the end, I was glad I did!

My wife and I purchased a print from an artist we like (Roger Duffy) and we found this frame which gave just enough white space around the print to give it more central focus. It's a pretty heavy duty frame with decent black trim, but it does require some leveling skill to hang it, since it has two hangers for hanging it either horizontally or vertically. I prefer hanging it with two wall anchors for a flush mount, versus stringing a wire which would make it sag and protrude. It groups nicely with the existing frames around it on our wall, making a decent overall presentation.

I ordered two of these frames and I am very happy. I’ll adress a few of the concerns I had based on other reviews. First, my corners were all flush with no gaps. The hardware to hang the pictures was all there and to my surprise already installed. They were easy to assemble. It took longer to unpack then it did to get my pictures in properly. I’m not sure what people expected for the price but these frames exceeded my expectations.

Sharp looking frame with a nice mat with a black reveal. Most people think that I took the poster I framed somewhere and had it matted and framed. Only thing I didn't like is that I had to attach the hanger, which wasn't beyond my capabilities but was tricky due to the very tiny size of the nails and that they didn't want to go into such hard wood (really, MDF). Still, a high quality look at a very reasonable price.

I read reviews that the corners were misaligned but decided to order a frame anyway. I'm glad that I did. The corners on mine are flush. The frame looks expensive but cost much less than what the local frame shop would have charged.

This frame is very heavy and seems strong. It is made of MDF, as would be expected at the price. The backing material is thick and heavy as well. There is provision for wire hanging in both horizontal and vertical directions, but no wire is provided. I prefer sawtooth brackets for hanging and appreciate that the thick MDF holds screws securely. A narrow two-color matte is included. If used, it reduces viewable size to 11x17 inches.

Beautiful. Inexpensive. I bought four. I initially hesitated to buy this after reading the negative reviews, but decided to give it a try since there is free return. I’m glad I did!

I like these frames and the prints look really good in them. They appear more expensive than they were because the materials and build are very good. My main issue is that in certain light the matting shifts hue from white to a very slight, light blue. I know it's white but it shifts and I'm not sure of the reason because the picture doesn't shift so I don't think it's the glass. Maybe the type of paper used for the mat. Whatever it is, it bugs me. I have three 8x10 and two 11x17 and they all do the same. I can't fully recommend this because of the color shift but they are nice frames, just be aware of where they are placed.
