He is a 16 year about 165 lb., average build. He bought a XL.

A: Depends on how you want it to fit. If you want a little longer baggier fit I would get large. Medium for a truer fit. I am also 5'5" and around 144 pounds. I bought the large for a little baggier fit and I love it.
