Using these pencils is pretty fun! I like the blending part of the process! Its amazing how the water and paintbrush transform the pencil drawing into a 'watercolor'. I think they can be used as regular pencils, the colors seem plenty bright; but since I love the blending part, I haven't done that.Make sure to rinse your brush between blended sections.

My fourth grader--the artist--loves these. She has used them every day since Christmas and has created quite a few masterpieces. She hasn't even had to sharpen most of them yet. The container makes it easy for her to access the colors she needs and then store them without taking up too much space.

Absolutely love these pencils!!! Can color and then go over with water on paint brush to blend to look like paint. Also can dip the pencil itself into water to make the colors brighter and blend like paint. Great collection of colors. Would def recommend and would def buy again if i ever use them up.

These are so much fun to use. It takes a bit of practice to know how to blend and how much water to add, that's half the fun of it.

Bought these for my 9 year old and they have really motivated her to work on her art work in different ways, I love them

Great idea but the colors are too soft it's like coloring with RoseArt.
