Fine Mod LC4 Black Chaise Lounge Chair

The chrome is very well welded. You cannot see any seams. The leather cover is sewn just as well. Overall, it's a well-made version of the classic LC4.Mine arrived with one of the plastic floor glides broken. It took the seller some time to replace it, but the seller did just that. The chair easily slides across the floor as it should.This chair is great for reading or falling asleep.

It should be duly noted that this is not an authentic product. The original product is an extremely well-made, extremely well designed piece made by Cassina, built by hand in Italy and available at top retailers such as design within reach. This is something representing itself as something he does not. This is akin to find a fake Rolex.

A previous reviewer gave this product, and many similar products, a negative review because he was unhappy with a unit he allegedly bought somewhere else. So what?I bought this black Le Corbusier chaise from Amazon. I put it together and I use it daily. And I'll say that it's a good chair. It was shipped quickly and covered in bubble wrap, foam and cloth so it was scratch free. It took about 15 minutes to put together using an included allen wrench (there were no instructions with mine, but it is very simple to put together).As far as using it, the top half (chaise) is separate from the bottom half (stand). That means you can rotate it up into a more upright sitting position or backward to closer to a laying down position (or anywhere in between). The unit seems to be made of good quality materials. The only complaint I really have is that at 6'2" I'm a little long for the chaise and it's probably more comfortable for people 5'2" to 5'10". I've added a few photos to see the chaise in different positions and how it really looks.

I really like my purchase. It was delivered on-time and the only challenge was that there was no manual how to assemble the chaise. However after a couple of minutes looking at some pictures in the web I figured it out and it was easy to assemble.Great buy!

Beware of cheap imitations i.e. make sure you have sat in any model of this type of chair before purchasing. I made a mistake and purchased one online (not at Amazon). It turned out to be a cheaply made reproduction. This is what was wrong with mine.The straps supporting the padding are not very strong. Therefore the seating sinks a lot and does not give firm support. Overtime this will give in even more as the steel clips loose strength.The steel frame does not balance evenly on the base. So the frame has to lie crooked for all 4 corners to touch the base.One of the bars is too long, so I had to bring it to a machine shop and cut 2/8ths of an inch off it.It's going to Goodwill. I figure the tax deduction is more than the cost of paying shipping both ways.

I've had one of these chairs for about 10 years and am generally satisfied. It is quite comfortable and the position is relatively easy on the body. Theoretically it can be raised and lowered by rotating the top of the frame in the base, but I've found that it only really stabilizes in one position. The padding didn't hold up especially well, but this chair doesn't require a lot of padding. The leather started to give way on the seat a while back, and I haven't been able to patch it very effectively. So far I've been unable to find a replacement cushion (how I landed on this page to begin with). All in all, this chair is attractive and comfortable, but I feel should be more durable at the price.
