The old one was an "air gap" faucet which had an extra line that sent waste to a filter. The new one doesn't have that, so the waste goes directly into the drain instead. Also the diameter of the waste hose was a different size. But once it was all installed properly, not only does it look great, but the water seems clearer and cleaner coming out, because the old air gap one would put tiny bubbles into the water making it look kinda foggy.
