Here is an example. A 5.0 Ah battery takes 50 minutes with the CH5500 whereas this charger would charge the battery in 35 minutes. Mine’s on 110 **Q: Can you plug your rapid charger in a car outlet?** A: Only if your car has a 120v. outlet in it which most cars don’t have unless equipped with an inverter which takes the dc voltage from the battery & makes 120vac. **Q: I would like to know if using a fast/turbo charger will shorten the life of the battery?** A: That's a good question.
