Nice game changer for the Weber 22" kettle.
What a nice game changer. Best grilled (that are like fried) wings I have made. The indirect-direct method works great. I have not tried the direct or indirect snake method for low and slow, but in concept it should work great for both as well. The Vortex is well built and easy to use. It fits perfectly in the Weber 22 and for the price is a great value. With the Vortex regardless of your cooking ability, you can turn out great food.

Increased efficiency of cook
Own a weber grill and this is the ultimate accessory! Husband is pleased. Increased efficiency on our first test cook (Peruvian Chicken) which decreased cook time from 1 hour to 30 minutes for 10 lb Chicken while maintaining great flavor and color. Huge value over other name brand alternatives. Love supporting USA made products. Looking forward to using it with other recipes like pizza, wings, etc. Fit great.

Just buy it…
Simple, works great. Great to have a source of heat for a hot sear while also making the whole grill have a great source of indirect heat. Charcoal actually goes longer with this than standing alone as I’ve seen in my first use. Worth it on my 22” Weber kettle!

Great Product - Easy to Use
Great concept and great taste - used Hickory wood above the vortex on the grill. Wings were fantastic. Crisped them up on a gas grill - perfect combination. Will experiment more - easy to use, and quality product.

A must for all kettle bbqs
Sturdy, solid and the right size (if you order the right size for your kettle). Works very well. Take a look on youtube, there are many different uses for it. Chicken wings come out PERFECT. The bbq gets much hotter than with the baskets provided with the bbq. You can smoke, sear and cook indirect with this Vortex.

Pues lo he usado mas de 5 ocasiones, y todas con excelentes resultados; es muy practico, el calor es mas homogeneo, y el termino de la carne es mas parejo. Para sellar la carne tambien es practico.

BBQ Vortex turns up the heat exactly where you need it
The vortex is a great tool to have for your charcoal grill. It fits the Weber Kettle 22 inch perfectly! It helps to direct the heat to specific areas. Having areas on your grill that have direct and indirect heat are crucial to charcoal grilling. My best meal I make with the Vortex is smoked chicken wings. My friends and family always look forward to them if they are coming over for a BBQ! The quality is great and it would make an awesome gift for a griller!

Tried cooking with chicken on a vortex. It provides and scatters the heat on the kettle. It also makes the coal inside very hard to put out. you should have a water spritz ready when usung this because if you put some oil basting, it it could set the whole kettle on fire and even closing the lid does not put our the fire. So it is really good at retaining heat on the kettle, you just have to be careful when using it.
