Season Caviart Black Seaweed Pearls Vegan Caviar, Award-Winning, 3.5 Oz

If you like seaweed snacks, this is delicious! Love to add this on my charcuterie boards. It’s very, very salty, though. Use in moderation.

I love Season's other products (buy their boneless skinless sardines regularly) but this is AWFUL! I took 2 bites and threw it out (second bite was to make sure it was really THAT bad). Looked very promising - good consistency, not oily, etc. Okay until I tasted it. Initially bland-only taste is a slightly unpleasant mildly salty unidentifiable taste. Then it has an especially nasty middle and after-taste (that lingers). Might be okay for a tiny tiny bit as a garnish to give people the visual and mental illusion that caviar was used but not to consume as a caviar substitute. Truly "icky" What a shame from a great brand.

I found the texture pleasant, and the product is easily spreadable. Overall the flavor is very mild, in terms of saltiness. and I found this a little disappointing at first. I really wanted that ocean flavor, and Caviart doesn’t quite get there. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a caviar replacement I think this rates a “B”, so for the price it is a decent option. I will probably purchase it again.

Looks a bit like caviar, can be used like caviar, salty like caviar, but flavorless and mostly without caviar pop. Use for vegan/vegetarrians or for cosmetic reasons, but don't expect a flavor or texture enhancement.

Not as good as real caviar; but good enough!I found that adding a dash of olive oil makes it even better!

This review is for our second jar of this product. The first jar was exactly as described, and very enjoyable. This jar, ordered approximately 3 months later, was vastly different and disappointing. Instead of spheres with a little "pop", these were dense rubbery bits, and there was noticeably more liquid in the jar. I used the one opportunity on Amazon to "contact the seller", have not heard back, and have no other way to express my disappointment than to leave this review. There is no opportunity to "return the item" on Amazon, and there is not a pathway to more communication with the seller/manufacturer. So at 50/50, I will never take another chance on a product I could have loved.

Although this is not real caviar..it is excellent. When one is a vegan, it is nice to eat this tasty alternative.
