Outstanding Chardonnay
For me, a superior chardonnay is about as good as a white wine is going to get. Having made two batches of Dry Creek Chardonnay from kits over the past four years and really loved them I was admittedly a bit skeptical when I chilled and uncorked the 2014 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay from Cameron Hughes. From the first sip to the last this silky smooth Chardonnay proved itself a worthy competitor to the D.C. Chardonnay I had made. The taste of citrus fruits and honey is just enough in evidence to give this otherwise dry white a bit of sweetness on the palate. The almost buttery smoothness makes this an easy drinking wine, one that is excellent while sitting on the patio or deck on a summer evening but with enough substance that it is equally enjoyable on a festive winter evening, accompanied by cheese and even smoked salmon. Indeed, the wine pairs well with a wide variety of cheeses, shrimp, and other seafood. It also works with a cream-based pasta dish or Mediterranean-style pizza. The price is more than fair and well below what you are likely to have to pay for a comparable bottle at your local wine shop.I received this bottle of wine from Cameron Hughes in exchange for my willingness to write an honest review, which I have been happy to provide.

Delicious
No surprises here. Cameron Hughes does a great job with their Chards and this one is fantastic. It's very buttery and reminds me of Rombauer.
