sharp and easy to use
I've found this to be a really good quality, well made plane. It is small but great value and perfectly suited for the small pieces of wood that I needed it for. I used it to square off some small blocks of European lime and it managed with no problems whatever, the blade is very sharp and easy to adjust, and pulling the plane towards you, rather than pushing away as we do with the western planes, I found much easier and more controllable.

Great tool
Thought I would buy to try and was amazed how easy it was to use, quality is great and the adjustment are easy to do once I got my head round it. This plane is an accurate tool with a little sharpening time and great value.

Surprisingly good
I had to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to use it. After that, no problems at all. It’s very smooth. Does the job well.

Very sharp
My first Japanese pull plane and must say it's extremely sharp. But not sure about the way the blade is held into the block. It's tight in the summer but comes loose in the winter. If you look at the other makers of these they have a better way to hold the blade tight. It's such a shame as its so sharp and so enjoyable to use.

Great plane for small work
Very sharp and useable out of the box. Can be tricky if you're unsure, but is fairly easy to adjust. Great!

Scary sharp right out of the box
Beautiful little plane. The iron doesn’t look like it’s forged, more like stamped out of plate steel and it’s definitely not the kind where a Japanese smith has fused a high carbon steel piece onto a softer one. Nevertheless, right out of the box, it’s sharp enough to take fine shavings. After sharpening the iron and setting it properly, it’s even more of a joy to use.

Very efficient little plane!
Very efficient little plane! The blade is razor sharp right out of the bag (comes in a bag) and shaves hair! The blade is stuck in there real good but you can get it out and adjust it with a few good whacks with a small hammer, as shown in the instructions on the plane itself. I'm now considering buying the larger versions later.
