Review: Great little tool - What an amazing little tool! Unpacked it, slotted in a battery that I had already (as it is tool only) & tried it out in the garden immediately, its only about 2kg so not too heavy to use. I wanted it to trim grass around the base of some bushes/shrubs that are dotted around my lawn as the strimmer is just too aggressive Its easy to slip it around the base of plants and trim the grass, worked a treat. Went around by the fence & decking, it cuts up to the wood with no issue. My strimmer is now redundant, I doubt I'll use it again. The only minor drawback is that you have to be down at ground level to use it, but other than that it is amazing - wish I'd got one years ago! I havent tried the hedge trimmer attachment, so cant comment on that Review: Excellent tool - Perfect tool for delicate hedge shaping. Light weight but powerful enough ## Features - 110mm cutting width - Grass shear blade with manganese phosphate coating - Up to 220 minutes run time on a single battery BL1850B charge (not included) - 2 in 1. Unpacked it, slotted in a battery that I had already (as it is tool only) & tried it out in the garden immediately, its only about 2kg so not too heavy to use. I havent tried the hedge trimmer attachment, so cant comment on that ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent tool *by A***Y on 2 July 2026* Perfect tool for delicate hedge shaping. Light weight but powerful enough ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Value for money, lightweight, fiddly switch between blades *by J***Y on 18 April 2025* Good tool to have and value for money if you’re already into the Makita family and have the battery. The switchover between blades is very fiddly and a poor design. It cuts grass and hedges well, obviously struggles when you hit an established branch but that’s to be expected. Lightweight even with the battery attached and runs for a long time. Happy with it. Only downside is the swap between blades. ## Frequently Bought Together - Makita DUM111ZX 18V Li-ion LXT 110mm Grass Shears Complete with Head Trimmer Attachment – Batteries and Charger Not Included - Makita BL1815N 18V 1.5Ah Lithium Ion Battery - Makita BL1840BDC1 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Battery and Charger Starter Pack (4.0Ah) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/313501069-makita-dum111zx-18v-li-ion-lxt-110mm-grass-shears-complete](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/313501069-makita-dum111zx-18v-li-ion-lxt-110mm-grass-shears-complete) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
