They glide on paper so smoothly that they are immediately rewarding for little kids to use. My granddaughter got them when she was about 18 months old and she loves to draw with them. They are so much easier to use than traditional crayons. The colors in this set are bright and fun and they will blend on the paper. The marks made on paper can also be painted over with a brush and water, and then the designs look like watercolor paintings. Ooly also offers a sparkle version of these that come in a larger set of colors and they are a big hit with my grandbaby. as well.
