The supplied hoses must be screwed into the central faucet outlet after installation and hand tightened per the instructions. Using a wrench can damage these connections and cause a leak. There are O rings that ensure these connections don't leak even when hand tightened. The other ends connect to the hot and cold values using standard 3/8 inch compression nuts that must be tightened with a wrench to ensure a good seal. If the installer is not careful, installing and tightening these 3/8 inch compression nuts can inadvertently loosen the connections to the central faucet outlet causing a leak. To avoid a leak the installer must ensure that the connections to the central faucet outlet do not come loose when tightening the 3/8 inch compression nuts that connect to the valves. The solution is to slightly twist the hoses to maintain a tight connection to the central faucet while tightening the compression nuts.
