Is that what I use to tape a photo to a matting to secure it in the frame?

what about use this for taping silk scarf on a backing board? Thanks!

The product seems to imply it's for mat to mat only, but all the reviews says people are using it to mount the art to the mat. Is it both?

I use this mat to mat. If I want to change the top mat, I do not want do damage my art work. I do, however, affix my pastels directly to the bottom mat because they do not generally need to be protected by hinging in that manner.

Can I use this tape to secure the backboard to the frame itself? Thanks

This tape is used to hinge/mount the art. It should not be used to hold your art into the frame.Thank you for your question,Frame De Art

My need isn't for craft work. I need to repair a 2-inch rip at a crease in my pleated (accordian) window blind. I've been looking for a tape that is strong, not too thick, and flexible since the shade has to open and close. I saw the word "hinge" and thought perhaps this tape might work. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Hello P and R! The Linenco Self Adhesive Linen Tape might work for the application you noted in your question. The tape is flexible, strong and creates a permanent binding. I believe that it's flexible enough for the accordion blind but it will depend on how heavy or thick the fabric is that was used to make the blind itself. I use this tape when mounting photographs and it works great for that application. It's definitely worth the try.
