Review: Best travelling tripod - I purchased this product specifically because of the dimensions and being carbon fibre. Yes of course there are better ones out there, but I only just started with photography and as I was heading out to Cappadocia - Turkey, I needed a tripod to capture the amazing balloon flights. I wanted something small, compact, sturdy and that gives me a quick setup access. To me the Sirui 5CX ticks all the boxes. Weighs less than a kg, managed to attach it to the bottom of my sling bag and setup is actually straight forward and easy. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone starting in the photography field, or if you want something portable for holiday usage. Excellent value for money and functionality wise I haven’t found any struggles so far. Invest in a quick release plate as well and you’re good to go.
