I will hold off on buying until I see some honest reviews....** A: Please consider the Wedgit Lock security bar with very recent favorable reviews that you can see. **Q: how many pounds of force was this designed to prevent forced entry for security at home, in hotels, or business??!!** A: I don't know but the thin threaded rod used to fully extend the PetSafe bar does not look sturdy enough to hold up well. I use the Wedgit Lock security bar that has been independently tested Intertek to withstand 400 lbs. of pressure in compression testing. **Q: How many lbs of force can this security bar withstand based on manufacturing testing?** A: I do not know if PetSafe ever tested the strength of their security bar, if they did I'm sure they would have shown the results on the product page.
