You won't notice any issues in a dark room. The material is cloth, not plastic and has just ok gain. Rear projection drops the output quite a bit - in the dark or with a high output projector it's just ok, but don't bother otherwise. The black material on the frame is soft and extremely fragile. I needed to use this for and event that would leave little time for takedown and used velco to attach the screen. The velcro strips would shred the material if it touched the frame. Not sure that it would last for setup and tear down on a regular basis.
