After 30 years of grooming dogs, we rarely have to worry about getting shampoo in our dogs' eyes. It is our "go to" shampoo for using on faces and muzzles. It does have a blueing addative, so I would have to guess, no. It is safe and will not burn. Just rinse the eye immediatley.

This is dog shampoo. Why are you worried about plants in the yard? I have mo answer I wash my dog indoors.
