I did the R12 to R134a conversion after my old compressor literally fell apart. I bought this compressor because it was much more affordable than any local parts stores and it looks identical to the OEM/Motorcrap compressor. It came pre filled with PAG oil and was easy to install. After I finished installing the rest of the retrofit parts and flushing the hoses and condenser, I filled the system up with R134a and got a reading of 36°F coming out of the vents while just idling in my driveway. It's been a couple months now and no problems yet. Still blowing cold.
