Glass 2-Cup Juicer (Clear) - Lemon and Lime Manual Squeezer, Citrus Reamer

I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I recently bought a new Pyrex measuring cup (glass, two cups) and the red markings came off immediately. I decided to search for a version with etched measurements. Not only does the jug work perfectly, but it comes with a juicer that nests perfectly and allows for larger citrus to be pressed. It's also very pretty and was wrapped incredibly well, allowing it to arrive in mint condition.

It is so hard to find glass measuring cups that have the actual etching verses lettering that washes off. This is very thick and sturdy! Dishwasher and microwave safe. I use it for when I bake. It's a good size. Glad I made the purchase.

I originally purchased this item in 2021. I was fed up with all the measuring jugs I had, loosing their printed numbers in the dish washer. This jug has very thick glass and the embossed numbers are large and easy to read and cannot rub off! It also has a pleasing shape and the lemon squeezer is an added bonus. It survived over two years with not a chip in a household of 3 young boys who love to bake (I also have a stone tile kitchen floor to which I have lost many glasses and have also dropped this jug without it breaking)! Unfortunately, I was helping my son make Frappuccino’s and decided to put ice cold water on top of hot espresso which caused the sudden horrendous cracking destruction of my favorite jug. I was pretty sad - but fortunately for me another jug was just a click away and I received my perfect replacement today! Now I have a spare lemon squeezer too.

We were tired of the printed measurements wearing off other measuring cups. This one is perfect with raised measurements. Didn’t think we’d need the juice press but I’ve actually used that several times now and it is a great companion to the cup. This is built to last!

I ordered the CuttleLab Glass Measuring cup because the lines on my old 2-cup measuring cup had worn away. I wanted something that was embossed so it would last longer. The juicer was an extra that I really didn't expect to use. When I received it, I was blown away by the quality of the measuring cup and juicer. It is like vintage glass that your grandmother/great-grandmother would have used only brand new. My husband even came into the kitchen and was checking it out. I don't usually make lemon or lime-aid making a juicer, but I remember my great-grandmother doing it. I think I am going to have to look up a recipe and give it a try. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase.

I'm a sucker for vintage-inspired kitchenware. So much so, that I'm undecided whether I should keep this item for my collection or return it for some glaring design flaws of its core functions: measuring and pouring. How much that matters to you might depend on what kinds of things you like to cook and how experienced you are at making adjustments.First though, I'll mention some things I really like about it:- Hefty glass that feels solid in your hand but isn't too heavy- Handle has a thumb grip.- It's shorter and wider than my 2-cup Pyrex measuring cup, which makes it easier to use with a mini whisk for things like salad dressings and eggs. The size works perfectly with my 6-inch Tovolo mini whisk, whereas my taller Pyrex matches better with my 8-inch whisk by Best Manufacturers.- Juicer lid that has holes to drain liquids directly into the cup- 2 cup capacity is a good "in between" amount that meets the majority of my needsNow for the negatives:- I personally find the embossed lettering easy to enough to read; unfortunately, it is inaccurate. I tared the measuring cup on my digital scale and added 236 grams of water, which should be exactly 1 cup. Reading at eye-level shows the water line to be above the 1-cup reading. Conversely, if I add enough water to go up to the cup's 1-cup measuring line, the scale reads that only 218 grams were added. In other words, measuring liquids using just the lines on this cup would result in consistently adding approximately 8% LESS liquid than you intend to. This also applies to the other side -- if you add water up to the 2-cup line and flip the cup around, it matches up to the 1-pint line.- Pouring usually results in splatter, depending on how carefully and quickly you pour. You would want to hold this directly over the large bowl you're pouring into.In summary, if you typically cook and bake by "look and feel" as I do and the vintage design appeals to you, you might still enjoy this measuring cup as there are few alternatives with the same aesthetic that meet modern safety guidelines. This measuring cup should work fine though for mixing or cooking that doesn't require so much precision, like soups, salad dressings, etc. However, if you do a lot of baking, which does require more precision, you would want to check the amounts with a digital scale (which I would recommend doing anyways).

I have gone through several pyrex cups over the years and always have to dispose when the measurements start rubbing off. I was happy to find one that has the numbers included in the glass!ML, cups, and ounces are the available measurement type.I need to compare measurements because this feels slightly off. That's normally an issue unless you're baking. It's very cute and heavy duty.
