it works
The thing about waxing yourself is, you need to know WHAT YOU ARE DOINGMost of the problems I read in reviews of waxing products can be caused by the user not understanding the product, how to use it, how to effectively remove hair and, their own skin and body.People with different skin and hair types, will have different results, fine hairs break more easily and can be harder to catch in wax, thick and coarse hair, can be harder to remove in one swipe.the hair has to be long enough for the wax to have enough to grab, that can vary with hair type, my hair is fine so I don't need as much length as some, experiment...Make sure your skin is clean, oil on skin and hair, can reduce the grabbing abilityhumid and hot weather, sweating, can interfere with thiswarm the wax, a machine warmer will keep it warm and at a safe temperature. it just needs to be warm enough to flow on without pulling and stick to the skin, a bit of warmth will open hair follicles.APPLY WAX AGAINST THE GROWTH OF HAIR, PULL INTO THE DIRECTION OF HAIR GROWTHif your product is dumb enough to say the opposite, ignore it... removing against the growth is more likely to break hair off at the skin resulting in faster regrowth and ingrown hairs. Pull hair out in the direction it grows.you can apply the wax to a larger area but, it is easier and less painful if you apply the strip to a small section at a time. example, apply the wax to about 2" wide up your shin, place the strip on the wax and pull it up, a bit, against the growth direction of hair, to get a good grip then hold the skin taunt and pull down quickly in a small section at a time at a slight diagonal until you lift all the wax you applied.you have to hold the skin tight as you pull the strip QUICKLY and pull it along your skin, not up or to the side. pull parallel to your body, you are less likely you are to bruise yourself, for example, if you are waxing hair off your shin, pull the strip along your shin, not at a high angle above it.This does make bikini and some other waxing more difficult, the skin is not as tight in some areas, that makes it important to wax small areas and, keep the skin tight as you pull parallel and quickly.Tender areas bruise more easily, experiment with small sections of waxThis product worked great for medelighted to find a great quality product but, not everyone will have the same result with products.I use a hard wax for facial hairslearning how to do it is a great money and time saver, and, in some areas it is difficult to find a professional who knows what they are doing so, worth learning how.

First time user for sugar wax. Good but please read on for my personal tips!
I had a dilemma today. I needed to wax today and realized that I forgot to order my usual wax kit on Amazon in advance. I looked for a possible same day delivery in my area and came across this one. As usual, I read through the reviews to see if this will be a good fit for me. I read many complaints about how sticky and messy this sugar wax is and how it doesnโt pick up all the hairs. However I bit the bullet and decided to take a chance since Iโm on a time crunch. It is my first time using sugar wax so I wasnโt sure what to expect. Iโve been waxing for about 3 years now, and even though I donโt consider myself a professional by any means, I thought I would take out the time to give some advice as I was able to have a good waxing experience with Parissa organic sugar wax. Before I give you my tips, please read their instruction pamphlet. Please buy a wax warmer - I cannot imagine doing waxing without one. Here are my tips: 1) Set the intention of having a good waxing experience. Get your phone/tablet and put some music on or if youโre like me, make this a time to listen to a self improvement podcast.2) Find an old bed sheet that you donโt mind getting dirty and lay it on the floor where you will wax. Buy parchment paper and set some sheets where you will be waxing. Have baby powder, and a scissor to be able to cut your strips for the right size when doing smaller areas. They say that the strips with this kit are reusable since you can wash them. Sorry but thatโs a bit too much for me. Iโd rather stick to buying more strips and throwing them out after one use. Home waxing is much cheaper than a professional wax at a salon. You will need extra wax strips. Buy an extra set and always have one more just in case you need it. Donโt reuse the same strip if youโre trying to avoid messy situations or irritated skin/brushing.3) Have proper lighting! Great lighting goes a long way.4) Have a paper bag on the side exclusively to throw out your used strips.5) Have a standing face mirror and tweezer available for any quick plucking if needed.6) I use coconut oil afterwards and lather it on my skin to remove any wax and it also leaves your skin very soft. Go take a shower and you are all done till next time!I hope these tips will help any beginners out there who are struggling with home waxing and remember that you will become better each time you do it. Have patience and save lots of $$$ doing it for yourself and also not missing any spots at all!

Not good for thick hair; does not pull from root and does not pull cleanly from skin.
Not good for thick or course/stubborn hairs. It didn't pull out from the root, only the surface. I even used in areas were hairs were not thick and again it wasn't strong enough to pull from the root. It also stays tacky and sticky so if your skins warm or if there is any humidity in your room, it wont pull off cleanly no matter how tightly you hold your skin. Only good think about this is that it is water soluable so it wipes of clean with warm water.I would no recommend for thick hair at all. You will be left with patches and the hair will still be in the root and grow back quicker. I even used for my eyebrows where the hair is finer and it also did not wax cleanly or get any of the fine hairs.

Very Natural and easy to use
I have used sugar wax for many years now. A bottle normally lasts a long time because i only need it for my face. When I ran out i got a box of pre wax strips that require you to take it off at the with this oil cleansing sheets that they provide. It was sticky and not easy to work with. This time I looked for a sugar wax and came across Parissa Legs & Body Organic Sugar Wax for Sensitive Skin. I got it and was very excited to try it out. I heated it up in the microwave at 15 second intervals until it was soft but not to runny nor hot. I used the wooden stick and then the sheets that it came with, and the results were amazing. It pulled my hair out and didn't irritate my skin. At the end when I was done all I had to do was wash my face with warm water, no messy oil cleansing sheets needed. It also has no added smells it pure sugar. Love it!

Sugar Wax review
The overall experience is okay if used according to instruction. But there are just 2 big and 2 small wooden sticks inside, which is definitely not enough.

Still the easiest one to use and comes with everything you need
Actually spent me awhile trying to find this product on Amazon again since I bought the first one 2 years ago and that product page expired. Several things made me decide to leave a positive review. First, this product comes with everything you need as a beginner, spatula (though only like 1 of each size but you can wash and reuse anyway) and enough amount of epilation strips. Also you donโt need to buy a separate heater since this is microwavable. Besides all of that, I personally prefer sugar wax wayyyy more than traditional wax since personally the residue cleansing part after using traditional wax can be very irritating but for sugar wax I can just wash it off in shower without leaving a mess. So all in all, I really like the product and it does the job in a less painful than expected way. I just wish it comes in more product as the value of the tub in this kit is slightly on the more pricey side.

Three Months In and I've Officially Stopped Looking for Alternatives
I've been through the waxing spiral. Too scared to get laser, so I cycled through professional appointments, DIY kits, and even a stint making my own sugar wax during COVID. After all of that trial and error, I wasn't expecting a store-bought sugaring wax to genuinely impress me. I'm almost annoyed at how good it is. I've wasted so much time before trying it.I've been using it consistently on bikini and underarms for three months now and the results have been the best I've experienced across the board. The pulls are clean, the wax has impressive staying power during use, and I'm currently sitting at ten days post-wax feeling completely smooth with no prickling regrowth. Over three months of consistent use I've personally noticed hair coming back finer each time, something I haven't experienced to this degree with other methods where broken hairs were always part of the deal. What genuinely surprised me most was my skin's response. I typically come away from waxing, even professional appointments, with significant redness, swelling, and multiple ingrown hairs. With this wax I've experienced none of the redness or swelling, and at most one ingrown hair per session. For anyone with sensitive skin that difference is hard to overstate. It also doesn't leave my skin dry or tight the way some hard waxes do, and because it's sugar-based cleanup is as simple as warm water. I can finally stop buying expensive post-wax oils and wipes that never worked that well anyway. As for the reusable strips, I didn't even know this was going to be a detail I cared about but here I am, now appreciating them. After use I let them soak in hot water in the sink while I clean up, run them under warm water with my hands, and hang them to dry. No soap required. Knowing I'm not throwing away disposable strips every time sits well with me.One practical tip worth noting: put the container in a bowl before microwaving to avoid burning yourself on hot wax, a small thing that makes a real difference. Also follow the visual instructions on strip removal direction and force. I didn't think I needed to but read them out of curiosity and sure enough, it made a difference for me.This quantity lasts a long time, the learning curve is minimal, and worst case if anything goes wrong warm water rinses everything off cleanly. I'd recommend this to quite literally anyone, but especially those with sensitive skin who have struggled with post-wax irritation and beginners who want a forgiving, low-mess option. If you're primarily a hard wax user the technique is slightly different and worth reading up on before your first try.

Good after a few goes to get it right
If you have never waxed at home before, this definitely takes some trial and error. A lot of comments saying to apply it AGAINST the hair growth... don't do this. Apply it DOWN your leg (not up), and tear the strip UPWARDS, and use a THIN layer; really get it warmed up, don't use it thick. The thinner the layer the better. 3rd go doing it and my results for legs and armpits are awesome and barely hurts unlike the first time, and the strip things can just be rinsed and dried. Do recommend - you just have to get the hang of it.Sad about the price hike on this one; happy to buy on special.

A learning curve!
It works well, the strips are washable which is really handy, it's a bit messy and sticky but just wiped straight off with warm water, unlike wax which seems to hang around forever.I did miss some bits but I expected that with my first time using it.My only negative is rhat I used half a tub on two legs, but that might have been because I wasn't quite doing it right to start with and was putting it on too thick, got the hang of it now though

Easy Clean-Up, Great Hair Removal
This sugar wax works really well once you get the hang of it. Itโs a bit sticky and takes some practice, but I love that itโs natural and easy to clean up with just water. It pulls hair effectively and leaves my skin feeling smooth without the harsh chemicals. Definitely worth it if you want a more natural hair removal option.
