I have been really pleased with this purchase. I find the adapter ring can easily be adjusted, and it stays very secure, I think this is a key advantage to the YC Onion Hood, it is a really good and clever design. Any failure to be level is down to my eyesight!Visually, I find the frame of the hood to be pleasing to view, it's metal and coloration blends very naturally with the X100V where it looks like it is supposed to be there. Having a aluminium hood cover instead of cheap plastic is a nice professional touch by YC Onion. It gently 'clicks' into place, and it feels good and secure once on. What else can I say, I think it is great. It's 5 stars for me!

The lens hood is machined well and fits the camera well. It looks nice and functions well too.

I bought this due to its unique look and esthetic however after numerous tries it fell short with its inability to be fully tightened. Ive tried as much as i could i began to get lens errors on my camera. This item is cheap and not worth the money. I purchased a hoage lens cover and immediately felt a difference. I doubt Amazon will return this due to its past 14day grace period so in the trash it goes.

Went with this over the Hoage option because it comes with a cover. But, I find that I never use it. It's so much more convenient to just take my camera out and immediately start shooting.Quality is great. The O-Ring makes for a snug fit. You have to check periodically that the hood is horizontally straight if you are OCD like me. There is no good way to tighten it fully.

This hood attaches well... snug, but will rotate if firm pressure is applied. Because my X100F is an everyday carry, as such it gets set in the car seat or in a shoulder bag and sometimes comes in contact with other items. I like that the hood will yield a bit if pressure gets unintentionally applied to the lens... rather than the lens taking the pressure.The hood cover fit is quite snug, so very little chance of it popping off. The metal is rigid and structurally tough, but light at the same time. The profile is simple and not flashy. I don't think it draws undue attention to the camera even though mine is silver, but I believe it is attractive. I've been pleased with it.
