I will be growing this in the late summer/early fall for a cover crop.
Regenerate and enhance your garden soil every year by adding compost, mulch, and other organic material. Always use a cover crop over every open area in the garden to prevent erosion, keep the soil sponge-like, and keep soil organisms active longer.It's nice to have fresh greens in the winter months. I'm trying Siberian, Black, and Red Russian kales this fall. Simply brush any snow away and pick from the bottom up. Try what's best for your needs/growing zone. Kale is easy to grow.In springtime, cut any unwanted plants at ground level and leave the roots in the ground to rot. They will assist with aeration and keeping the soil moist. Try to keep open ground planted for best results. Cover crops can be trimmed to the desired height, and left to grow next to the vegetables you desire to plant.
