Very Useful For Connecting XLR to 1/4 Inch Connection
I've got a Roland electronic keyboard, where the speakers are located under the keyboard. I wanted the sound to be pointing anywhere but down. I had a pair of passive speakers doing nothing, so I purchased an amplifier, some banana plugs for the speaker wires and two XLR to 1/4 inch cables and this Hosa YPP-117 cable. I simply plugged in the Hosa cable to the 1/4 inch connection on the piano, plugged the XLR part's of the other cables in the correct left right configuration into the amplifier, then plugged the 1/4 inch plug's into the Hosa YPP-117, connected to the keyboard. Fired up the amplifier and hey presto, sound from above not below. Bypasses any other complicated processes.
