Q: Would 2 laptops fit in this? I have a personal and a work laptop that I need to travel with (in addition to the charging cables for both).

When it is fully expanded I believe you can fit the two laptops and cables plus in this item. It is very roomy. In mine I have a 15" portable TV charging cables, 2 piece antenna and earphones. Plus the manual for TV.

Q: Does it help keep your laptop cool?

Not that I have noticed. It has slim foam pads in each section but the zipper sections are just cloth. I put my laptop in just after turning off and half hour later it was still a bit warm. Certainly wouldn't use this if you need to leave/have your laptop in hot environs.
