My son loved this. He chewed on it constantly. Unfortunately, he chewed right through it within the week and I started finding bits of rubber around the house. While pretty, this is not a durable tool if your person really needs to chew.

This is definitely a finger saver. I've bought others and well my son chewed them up within a week. This one is thick and will last awhile. Very well made. I bought it for my 3 year old. The string was a little long. But was able to cut it the length i wanted. I won't by any other from now on. Well worth the price.

I gave this to my older child who will chew on random things when stressed but I wanted something that wouldn't damage teeth.Pros:*Necklace-The design is very cool for an older child. You would think it were just a necklace unless you asked I think the only give away if the thickness.*Necklace cord- this is a breakaway so it is an added safety measure and the cord or well made and soft so it will hold up to constant wear and be comfortable to wear.*Comfort- My child said it was comfortable to wear and even though it was big it didn’t feel heavy. It was not as comfortable to but though because it was thick.Cons:*Thickness- It was thick so it will last but it felt to thick to my child who told me it was to big to big down comfortably. It got a little softer with use but after a week it was still really hard. I was hoping it would become a little softer after a while so bitting on it wouldn’t cause jaw pain. It still did though because of how thick and hard it stayed.Conclusion:*This was a really cute necklace and the design was something that wouldn’t cause embarrassment for an older child or even an adult if they needed to have it with them. It does look like a bit of an odd piece because it’s made of rubber but I don’t think people would guess it is used to chew on unless they know what it is before hand. It has a breakaway cord which gives me piece of mind just in case and the quality is really good. The pendant feels so well made though it would probably take a while before it gets some so too much chewing might cause jaw soreness but it is better than objects around that house that aren’t rubber. I recommend it but you might want to choose a smaller pendent for a smaller child.

I was intrigued by the design of this, because it doesn't stand out or draw much attention. This would be important if you need to discreetly meet the needs of an older child or adult who chews. This is a perfect gift for anyone with this type of occupational therapy need. It is a nice size and feels well made. The packaging is nice. I like that this is BPA free. This may not hold up as well for *heavy* chewers so you will need to inspect it often. I really love that this was designed by a mom who truly understands the needs of ADHD, anxiety, autism or sensory processing disorder. This company has other designs as well and seems really well thought out.
