Has anyone put the brackets on top of the board rather than under? If so, did the weight of things on the board start to pull the board off?

What is the weight capacity of a single bracket?

Easily fifty pounds. I’ve got more than that on a pair of brackets.

I ordered these a few weeks ago and one broke while being installed. Can I purchase just one bracket?

I dont know about that, you would probably have to contact the company and ask them . Or send both back and order a new set. I have 3 sets and all are whole . No problems
