Fantastic little device for tracking temperature and humidity in your greenhouse.
I was kind of skeptical this would work given the price but it is amazing. It tracks the temperature and humidity in my greenhouse. I can check it from inside the house. It has allowed me to fine tune the heating in my greenhouse by monitoring temperature fluctuations over the course of the day. It is easy to use, was relatively easy to connect to my iPad (I suggest doing the initial set up with your phone, tablet or computer in close proximity. After that you should be able to check it from a distance.) The signal can’t be accessed from the front of my house (which would require the signal to pass thru a wooden greenhouse wall, an external porch wall and an interior house wall that is tiled) but if I move within about 20 feet in my house, it will update with no problem. For the price and functionality, I am very happy. It’s been running for about a month and has used less than 1/2 the battery, which given that it continuously tracks temperature and humidity, seems pretty good. It sits on a shelf in my greenhouse but also has a way to hang it from a nail or hook.

Great monitor, worth the purchase!
This is a great option if you need to check your blood pressure as I was requested to do by my doctor. I test every morning and it seems to be working as desired. I love the Bluetooth connection to the phone app so it keeps the history and data I will be able to show during my next appointment. Quality seems good and so far it is working for quite some time on the first set of batteries.

Excellent longlasting product. Stellar cust service.
excellent product. accurate. versatile. durable. longlasting. bluetooth range is great. i can see the temp on my ground floor, sitting in the basement. the temp and humidity alerts are invaluable. the charts and data export features are also very useful. i greatly appreciate that i can use rechargeable AAA batteries in this thermometer, and that it's not outfitted with that dreaded custom lithium battery that lot of electronics makers use that render their product a one-time use, disposable product. i've owned several thermopro thermometers over the last 5 years or so, with previous versions of the tp 357 and also their cooking thermometers. they have all performed flawlessly over this period. no issues at all. i'd give this company 10 stars for product longevity if i could. this product's excellence is only matched by the company's stellar customer service. the luxury of being able to speak to a live person in customer service is a rare one these days. but not only do you get to speak to intelligent, informed, technically proficient and friendly customer service people at thermo pro, they are very easy to reach - (no long hold times or complicated automated phone routines). oh btw the company is based in the US, as is the customer service which is a total bonus. in this day and age, its almost impossible to find longlasting, durable products. and to actually have easily accessible, responsive customer service too.... is just icing on the cake.

Well worth the money
At the end, it is all about how it fits your need. For me it was worth the money and I even bought another device like this for around the house. It ended up saving me time and allowed me to get value out of it from the start. The money was well spent, and the device performance is acceptable so far. In the past I was hesitant to buy these type of devices because of cost. I was lucky this device does what it advertises (long battery life, up to 1 year log storage, small size, and a commonplace AAA battery type. My use case is to track humidity and temperature for filament used for hobby 3D printing. I wanted to build the device myself (temp, hum, and pressure, all read over BLE, with an e-paper display and all!), but as time went by, I could not find the time to finish my 'project' within budget and hobby-time constraints. This device allowed me to start tracking filament use/storage life today, while I could still keep dreaming of my own device (because this product does not sense barometric pressure). Now that I use it, I dream of using a raspberry Pi to read this BLE device automatically (yes, adding another project to my pile of 'unfinished projects') My only downer so far is that the Android app does not allow me to save or export the data. It is not even available in the user space memory of the phone, so I can not easily extract it from the app. While I can see the plots in the app, I want to be able to save all the data to a file for later comparison. I will need (yet) another project of mine to use a Raspberry Pi to read all the data and save it. It would be nice if they update the app to at least save all the data to a file in the Android app folder, so we customers can copy it. Hope this experience helps others. For some of the comments I read, I think I know some of the answers: - The location access the app needs is because Google improved Android security awareness, and since Wi-Fi and BT/BLE scanning can be used to locate your device, the message will say 'location' because the app you are trying to use needs access to the BLE scan function to be able to find any of these sensors you own that are near your phone. - The 10s refresh-rate should be independent of the speed at which the sensor stabilizes to the exposed environment (response-time). I agree the manufacturer is pushing the limits of misleading by stating "10 s Fast Response" where 'response' and 'rate' are not quite synonyms. In any case, typically these devices take some time to settle due to lack of proper air flow, etc.

Great size, very accurate, AAA batteries
I bought 3 of these for some basic temperature and humidity monitoring. I really appreciated that they use a AAA battery rather than a coin cell, and when I set them up originally all near each other they read the same temperature and humidity, which was way more accurate than I expected. They also matched the reading I had from an independent sensor, so I trust that they are accurate. They are also very small so they can be placed in a corner or a shelf easily without getting in the way.

they work, magnetic and not obtrusive. bluetooth and their thermo ap lets you monitor with phone/tab
got the two pack (wanted more) bluetooth connected to tablet. i can monitor temp in bathroom (for warming before shower) and places humans live. i could use 2 more .. one for cellar and garage.

Unit is nice, app is poor, no way to calibrate the humidity, short battery life.
I got a 2-pack of these for use in my humidors. I put them with another digigal hygometer to test accuracy. One was exactly the same, the 2nd one read high by 3%. This is outside the 1-2% claimed accuracy. It would be simple to add the capability to the app to adjust this down by 3%, but that functionality does not exist. After waiting a day, the humidity levels are identical. The temp is within .3 degrees of each other. There are a lot of problems with the app. It frequently crashes on both my old and new Android phones. When an alert shows for the humidity being out-of-range it displays a message like this: "The current humidity is 76% and higher than the preset maximum alert value of 7%". That is an awful message. It should say: "The current humidity of 76% is 7% higher than the alert value of 69%" or something clearer. The app appears to only alert you when you open the app. The unit is small and I like that you can track the levels over time. The bluetooth reception is decent. I have the units in my humidor and I can see the levels anywhere in my house and on my back porch. EDIT: I've had these for a while now and I need to reduce my rating to 3 stars. The reason is that the AAA batteries only last about 2 months before they go dead.

Best temperature sensor!
I love this TP357 temperature sensor. It is so much smaller than I expected though. I've had other versions in the past that were larger, so I think I was just expecting those sizes. I actually like how small this is. Seems perfectly efficient to show what it does in the small size. The other models have larger screens that show max and min data if you want that at first glance, but I just go to the app for the history. I also love that it has a magnet on the back in addition to the little kick stand. I used to have the old school versions with no Bluetooth, and would never go back. It's a game changer to be able to have a real time history of the temperature changes and the Bluetooth connection allows for quick review of all the data in the app. You can also export the data quickly and easily. The reason I love this one over the other new ones with Bluetooth is that it displays the temperature prominently on top and is also a larger font size display than the humidity number below. The TP359 version seems nice enough, but I hate that the humidity is displayed at the top. I constantly have to look twice because I naturally look at the top number expecting temperature. I don't know anyone that cares more about humidity than temperature. The temperature should always be the number displayed at the top of the display and I hope they update their other models to do this as well.
