Don't breathe it in as it is "Made from a vinyl resin and alcohol base", and it has a strong scent as expected. Provides good protection for oil pastel works. If it's inside sketchbook and oil pastel layer is thick or heavy, when you draw on the other side of a sketch, it will leave marks on a page that's underneath - especially if you use force to draw, so regardless of varnish, put extra protection between pages if using both sides of sketchbook sheets to draw on. This varnish works really well, as expected, covering with two layers provide very good protection - and gloss. If using outdoors, try to avoid using around any plants you plan to eat in the future, and try to avoid using it near water sources. Think of direction of the wind when using outdoors to avoid accidents. Great product.

Exactement ce que je cherchais, fixe parfaitement mes pastels à l'huile, avec deux couches. Attention à bien doser, n'en mettez pas trop !

Excellent, bien efficace pour fixer les bâtons à l’huile de Sennelier . J’aimerais pouvoir m’en procurer au Québec. Le transport est trop cher

This works and is simple and quick to use. It dried clear and didn’t alter the colours in my pictures. Using pads of art paper I now feel they are safe to carry around without fear of smudging. Use in a well ventilated room and give several light sprays.
