I have used the 3M Black Weatherstrip & Gasket Adhesive for many years. I find it the best adhesive on the market. It holds great and stays playable. I highly recommend this adhesive for any automotive application where you need a good adhesive, sealer, gasket maker, rubber gaskets for window molding…etc. And a excellent price point for this product. 5 Stars!!

I grabbed this because my old car’s door gasket kept peeling off and whistling on the highway. I’m renting and can’t afford random mechanic trips, so I watched a quick YouTube video and tried fixing it myself. The tube is small but it goes a long way. I cleaned the rubber, ran a thin bead, waited a minute, then pressed the gasket back on. It stayed. Drove to work the next day and the annoying wind noise was gone, which made me really glad i took the DIY route. It’s pretty stringy so you have to work kind of fast, and it smells strong for a bit, but it works realy well once it cures.

Used this to reattach some loose weatherstripping on my car door, and it worked perfectly. The adhesive goes on easily and gets tacky fast, so you do have to work quickly—but once it sets, it’s solid. No peeling, no leaks, even after a few rainstorms and a car wash. I’d recommend wearing gloves and having some paper towels handy—it can get a bit messy if you’re not careful. But the bond is super strong, and it saved me from replacing the whole seal. Great product for car repairs or anything rubber-to-metal. Would definitely buy again.
