Pellet Smoker Grill with PID Control, Rain Cover, 700 sq. in Cooking Area for Outdoor BBQ, ZPG-7002B

Great back porch smoker. Love the fact that it comes with a cover to avoid rust and damage due to the elements.

The temperature was not regulating correctly after 18 months of using. I contacted Z Grills customer service and they sent me the parts to fix it at no charge. The customer service is excellent.

It is not always able to maintain temp especially in cold weather. Instructions for assembly were not as clear as they could be. NO COOKING MANUAL! :( If you do not know how to use a smoker like this do not expect help in the box. You have to go online for help and even then it is not always easy to find. Not even a basic intro to smoking user guide!! It does smoke well once you learn how to use it. It truly is for the most part a turn it on and walk away smoker.

My husband LOVES this pellet smoker. Easy to pour in pellets. Keeps temp well.

I have now used this once for whole chickens and have to say they came out great! Had to fuss a little with it as the grill temperature gauge on my grill is about 23 degrees off [high). I have my own grill and meat probes so not a huge deal. Especially since everything else from assembly to grilling was easy and little hassle. We)l worth the money. I would definitely purchase again without hesitation!

I have had this for going on two years now. It functioned well until recently when the igniter stopped functioning completely. As it was under the warranty I contacted z grills and they sent out a new igniter rod. I replaced this, and it still did not function, I pointed out that there were two small burn marks on the back of the control panel, and that when manually ignited my grill would not get to the set temperatures now as well. the customer service agent “Hanson” agreed that the control panel was probably the issue, but they were out of stock, and they’d have more in a month. That was a month ago… I have been repeatedly told that they are out of stock for a month…. The “month” just keeps getting pushed out with no specific date in site. Now Hanson said today that if I want it fixed faster I can pay for a new control panel from their Amazon store…. How is it that they are out of stock for warranty claims, yet available if I’m willing to purchase one?

The grill showed up a day early. was able to assemble it in about an hour by myself. Some of the metal parts needed to be cleaned. Oil to prevent rusting. I tested it , without food for two hours. Ran through all the settings Temperature held nicely High temp was about 465 F. Fuel usage was lower that I would have thought Over all am very happy so far.

This falls under the "you get what you pay for" adage. The first one had a cooking chamber so dented that you couldn't attach it to the legs. Amazon service was great as usual and promptly sent out a replacement. That one had minor deformities in the chamber, so I could attach it. The packaging is clearly insufficient to protect the smoker. While it's now working, two complaints remain. 1) A minor complaint, but the included cover is a complete fail at its main job. It's so cheap, and not waterproof, that when it rains on my deck, the grill gets wet anyway. 2) A major complaint - the thermostat is very poor. There's often a 25 degree variation from what I set it to, to what the actual temperature is. There's no way I would buy from this company again.
