Solid Start
The Doctor and Peri arrive at the memory farm where the memories of a man with dementia are being mined to see if he's really a genocidal dictator. The doctor has been invited by a friend to observe, but soon finds himself on the trail of a murderer. This is a pretty good story. Both the memory farm and the man who doesn't know if he's a dictator are clever science fiction ideas and they're very well explored with some big twists coming in Episode 3. This was definitely a breath of fresh air and a nice example of a different sort of Doctor Who story. Great performances by the main cast with Peri getting quite a bit to do and a very good guest performance by Joseph Mydell as the potential dictator.

Disc faults ... 2 diffrent discs same fault
So when listening to this story , disc one seems to have a manufacturers fault as ive had 2 diffrent sets bought from new and both had same issue with disc 1 ...Around the track 17 mark after 5 or so minutes the story falls off going silent for 6 mins and only kicks back in when disc moves to track 18.During the silence , you loose a whole chunk of story. It appears that the quality control at big finish have neglected to notice that information is missing from disc and therefore there is no sound/ recorded track for 6 mins towards end of episode 2.This is deffinately an issue with the product as i have bought 2 of these from new and same thing happens at same point on both.Discs also tested on various players and issue remains. It is not like big finish to serve up such poor quality or faulty discs but for this story it is a real issue.Unfortunately there is no way of tracking down any that may not have this issue and the fact that these are produced in bulk indicates that there will be an abundance of these faulty sets in circulation.Very disappointing and annoying
