Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach (specifically the Salmon and Rice formula, which we use) has been an absolute game-changer and a true lifesaver for our beloved companion. Before switching, our poor dog constantly scratched, had dull, flaky fur, and experienced frequent tummy troubles. Trips to the vet often ended with suggestions for expensive medications or specialized, bland diets that he hated. Within just three weeks of transitioning to this food, the difference was astounding. First, his coat is magnificent—it's incredibly soft, shiny, and the dry, flaky patches are completely gone. My 10yo springer spaniel has had skin issues for the past 8 years, manifesting from simple scratching in the middle of the night to raised bumps, to open wounds and serious inflammation and infection. This year she started experiencing intense weeping hot spots. This was a new scary presentation. From the vet, she been on everything from Apoquel to antibiotics to prednisone to zenrelia to personalized vaccines… and cycling all over again based on what was happening. I did some research and reviews and decided to change her food to “Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach Dog Food Dry, Adult Salmon & Rice Formula, Digestive Health” + Wonder Paws omega max wild alaskan salmon cod krill fish oil (2 pumps) on it daily. She absolutely LOVES the taste of both and cannot get enough. I’m pleased to report, scratching is almost nothing now- maybe one scratch every 3 days. All hot spots are healed with hair growing back. The weird crusty raised bumps near her head and neck are nonexistent. Her coat is a beautiful silky soft sheen. She’s never looked better. I cannot believe I didn’t do this years ago… think about how much I could’ve saved in vet bills and meds. Yikes! The pics tell the real story (see her neck area hot spots. Our dog loves this stuff and it's has really kept his itchy skin in check, but fair warning--it smells awful. In the bag, in the bowl, and...after. 😉

Recommended by our vet for our miniature schnauzer. He likes it and so far still very healthy.

My 11 yr. old picky eater rescue loves this food. I add warm water to it to soften the kibble and then add Purina Pro Plan wet food & he loves it. I tried different brands and he would eat it for maybe a week & then refuse. So I would try another brand with same results. He appears not to like chicken regardless of brand. But loves Salmon and Rice kibble formula with Turkey and Sweet potatoes wet food.

I have a Treewalker Coonhound that has allergies and I have a senior dog. Both of my dogs have different dietary needs and its hard to keep an eye on the dogs to make sure they arent dipping into each others dishes....so I have started them on this and its somethign both can eat. This proplan dry lamb and oatmeal kibble is loved by both of them, and their stomachs. Vet recommended this to me and I am so happy - also it was the best price vs my local pet stores!!
