Works great even for my large GSD. He quickly got comfortable and my bucket racing seats were fully protected. What I liked most about it was that it kept all of the dog hair at bay and proved for an easy clean up. It stayed in place and the seatbelt attachment was useful in keeping my dog from jumping into the front seat. Lastly, it fit perfectly in the back of my 4-door midsize Tacoma truck. Hoping it maintains its durability for many more trips to come.

Great cover to protect the back seat of our car. Our dogs like "to go" and will jump in the car as soon as the doors open, muddy paws and all. Their hair/shedding is also a problem. This cover envelops the whole back seat area to catch all hair and dirty. Well-made, durable and great fit for a Subaru Forester. Easy to install and stays securely in place. Flexibility makes is easy to clean in a washing machine.

I just received this 3 days ago, and only used it once, but I am quite pleased with it so far. I own a second generation Honda Ridgeline (mid-size) pickup for size reference. I unwrapped the cover, and flipped it across my rear seat. (The hard extension, inside the cover, is in 2 square sections.) The cover rests in place on the seat while "installing". Next, I tucked in the 2 attached plastic tubes between the vertical and horizontal sections of the seat. I lifted the back section of the cover, unsnapped the buckles on the two headrest straps, fed the strap behind and below each rest headrest, and reconnected the buckles. There is a pull adjuster that I gently tightened on each strap to pull the cover "tight" in the back. Note: overtightening will lift the cover off the seat. Finally, if you wish, there are zippers on each side of the side section. You zip each one, and feed each strap through the hand strap above each side rear window, and tighten gently, as you did with the back. Doing this provides 100% rear coverage, with the screened section between each front bucket seat. I chose not to use the side sections, so I left the zippers unzipped and the strap detached. The side sections hang down the sides of the seat. The cover fits very well. The cover appears to be made of ripstop nylon with crosshatch stitching for durability and "traction" (slip resistance) for my dog. The nylon surface is easy to wipe clean, and liquid just beads up on top. If this ever stops, I'll just spray the surface with a waterproofing product that dries completely. The images on the item page shows the cover folded tightly against the back of the front seats to permit rear passenger occupancy. This is not exactly accurate. There are two buttons at the top of the front section, and when folded, two elastic loops atop the middle, rigid section. The back folds over the top of the middle to "sandwich it, and the sides also tuck into the middle. Stretching the elastic loops hangs the now rigid seat cover, but the back just hangs. Unless you have a LOT of rear legroom, this hangs right at the front of the rear seat. I was able to resolve this by tucking the outside bottom corners into the seat pockets behind my seat, but this might be difficult or impossible to do in small vehicles, or those without seat pockets. Bearing this possible limitation in mind, I highly recommend this product.

***WRITING AFTER 3 YEARS OF USE*** TLDR - Extremely durable, poop proof, vomit proof, DOES NOT PROTECT AGAINST PEE ACCIDENTS / PUDDLES, not machine washable This car seat cover served us well for our first dog, he's a very well behaved 70 lb boy who sometimes just doesn't know his own strength/size, and this thing holds up extremely well. To this day, no tears, rips, or stains, even after he has jumped on it, scratched it, and vomited on it. It keeps him extremely comfortable on long car rides, and stable when he wants to look out the window. DOWNSIDE - It is not 100% water proof as it claims. We just got a new puppy, and made sure to set this up for the drive home with her. She peed almost right away, which is to be expected. However, ***it soaked right through the bottom of this car cover, deep into the car seat. Which I thought it protected against. **It is also not machine washable. If your dog doesn't have accidents in the car (like my first dog), this is an amazing investment! If you have puppies or dogs that may have pee accidents, look for something with a hard bottom / more guaranteed to be puddle proof.

Granted I just got it, BUT it was so easy to install I just had to write a review. It took me less than 5 minutes total to unpack it, put it together and put it into my car! It's very sturdy material, it has a tight enough Velcro area that stays sealed to allow the seatbelt to not be stepped on and opened while the dog paces. The straps are good quality, and it has decent padding, but we give our dog a blanket anyways :) The cover is big and covers the seat gaps and my dog is so much happier 😊

Excellent, well made, easy to install, stays in place, put a blanket in there in the dogs don't want to leave the car. This one does not have a zipper in the middle such that access to the dogs must be over the fabric rather than through it. But this works the other way, the dogs were able to destroy the zipper on the last unit necessitating the purchase of one without a zipper.... Remarkably effective and inexpensive, my dog's weigh 20 lb each, the Tesla has dog mode which is almost reason enough to buy a Tesla in itself regardless of politics, and the addition of this and a sunblock for the roof allows the dogs to be very happy traveling companions. Which also makes the people in the front seats happy traveling companions.

I bought this for a friends bridal shower. We bonded over our dogs and she loved my car hammock. She added this one to her registry. I almost didn’t buy it to get the one I had bought, but then read into and thought it’d be a good one and the one she chose. I was right!! She loves it!! It looks sharp, doesn’t have a weird odor, fits her car well, her dog enjoys the added space for her to lay around, especially since she has to share it with her new sister now. She says the material is nice, easy to vacuum. As for wiping down or washing, she hasn’t experienced that yet. The pockets are nice though to keep spare toys, poop bags, and cleaning supplies. I highly recommend!

This car seat cover is perfect. Fits in the backseat of a van, covers all surface. Attaches easily & the sides close to keep both the dog(s) and their hair contained. Wish I had purchased this a long time ago! Once the dog(s) are in you can zip up the sides to keep them even safer, protecting the doors as well. Good value.
