At Porta stand, we hold a general belief that if it can't withstand a minor breeze, it's not a music stand. For our flagship Troubadour, we took that idea to the next level. Its black powder-coated steel desk supports orchestral scores, laptops, tablets, and auxiliary equipment without so much as a whimper. Its exclusive custom tripod goes low enough for the seated classical guitarist and high enough for the standing string player. Its patented, tailor-fit 1000D Cordura Nylon cover is weatherproof, tour-proof, and student-proof-all while dutifully schlepping the kind of orchestra-sized scores that strike fear into the hearts of even the burliest percussionists. Take away the all-metal tripod and it doubles as a tabletop stand. And of course, like any Porta stand product, it folds up like it's auditioning for Cirque du Soleil. So take a load off, ye weary traveler-the Porta stand Troubadour is the third bicep you always wanted.

Not recommended
After waiting a month for it I am not as pleased as I hoped. The thumbscrews are too small to get good leverage. Otherwise it is a nice stand that is comfortably portable.

Best Music Stand On The Planet!
I'm a performing musician that has been using the Portastand Troubadour stand for 6 months. It's an amazing music stand! I have used it to hold my computer and iPad as often as sheet music and it worked like a champ! I love the way it's built. sturdy and no plastic parts. When I'm at a gig, I take my music and iPad and put them in the fabric sleeve, swing it over my shoulder and I'm off! couldn't be any easier!I highly recommend it to any musician!

Strap broke on 2nd day
The strap broke on the 2nd day of ownership. Customer service was not very good. I probably explained to them "the strap broke" in 5 different emails and sent a picture, but I think they are still wondering how it happened. All I wanted them to tell me is how we could resolve this through either me returning it back or them sending me a new cover. Instead I kept getting questions and they spoke of "wear and tear" Etc. Really? I used it once before it broke.I would NOT recommend this stand, unless you want a product that will probably break quickly like mine did. Also, it seems like a regular manhasett orchestra stand feels lighter than this travel one . Imagine carrying the weight of a manhaset stand on your shoulder. I was really surprised the weight of it when I lifted it. I had hoped it would be lighter but I can imagine (with music) and a stand your shoulder would be pretty sore after a few minutes.I wanted to like the stand. Good concept but overall- too heavy and the strap is not durable/weak.
