My eu2000i would start but wouldn't stay running when the choke was moved to the run position. As stated by others, it's not an exact swap with the OEM carb, but it's close and easy to make work. First, the fuel supply hose barb is NOT on the opposite side. The fuel supply barb is in the same place (right side) and the supply line connects easily. The line that's on the opposite side from the OEM (right vs left) is the bowl overflow drain. If too much fuel gets into the carb's bowl, it will drain out that line onto the ground instead of into the engine. The OEM carb works the same way, but this overflow is simply on the other side. Second, the wiring is different, but another easy fix. Assuming your current carb's motor is fine, it's an easy swap by removing the two phillips-head screws closest to the motor and it comes right out. The motor is the silver disc where the wiring connects. Do the same on the new one and put the original in its place. Third, the three attached rubber drain lines are a little shorter than the OEM. They're also narrower and didn't seem to want to stay in the receptacle drain holes at the bottom of the case. I swapped the lines and the black plastic clip for the overflow ventilation hose from the OEM carb to this one and they work perfectly. This carb includes fresh gaskets.

Works great. Used the original electrical top instead of the one with the unit. Power connector is different.

Received Carb in 2 days, the Carb wire has a square end so I used the old solenoid with the old screws installed, then plugged the flat plug wire to carb had to re-rout wire so it would not press up against engine.Couple of pulls runs great! What can I say I'm really happy!! This is the side story: Honda EU2000i is about 14 years old, I was replacing a few items and thought to buy an OEM Carb from Honda thru Amazon for about $140.00 thinking I was doing the right thing. After installing the new OEM Carg the generator kept surging I cleaned the ideal jet then I bought another idle jet still surging, I removed the bowl and found jelly substance in the bowl, I clean that and then took gas tank out cleaned: Tank, fuel lines, fuel pump. Reinstall them still surging days/hours of time. So on a gamble I bought this off brand Carb made the above changes (old solenoid with the old screws )and the generator runs GREAT no surging, and I'm happy!!

As others have said, double check the hoses. The people that assemble this put the vent line on the fuel inlet nipple, LOL. The eco throttle servo wires weren’t the same colors and the connector wasn’t the same. I knew that servo wasn’t my problem, so I just swapped the factory servo on to the new carb body. The new carb works great, it even swaps from low RPM to high RPM more smoothly than the factory carb did. Even with the time spent figuring out the servo BS, it was a faster job than disassembling and cleaning the factory carb. 8mm nut driver, #2 phillips, and standard screwdriver, 30 minutes and your done.
