I used another hair color for years because I "was worth it". I hated the smell and I didn't like the way the color built up in the more absorbent ends of my hair but I didn't know there was anything better. I decided to try Garnier Nutrisse when I found it much cheaper. The smell is pleasant and leaves my hair very soft and with more volume. Don't expect to get the exact color on the box. I think it all depends on the texture and absorbency of your hair. It took me several tries to get the exact color I wanted but it was inexpensive enough so that it wasn't a big expense to try. The color seems to wash out gradually without any build-up or roots showing as my hair grows out.

I started using this when L’Oréal changed my usual haircolor which was similar to this color to contain some red undertones. I was shocked when I tried to color my hair and I had reddish hair. Never did repurchase. This one is great and no surprises so far.

I have been using this hair dye for at least 12-15 years! I get the golden blonde (90), and it does pull a little red because of the golden tones, but I love the honey blonde look. My hair always feels super soft after using the included conditioner and I always pack the extra conditioner in my suitcase because it's a nice deep treatment when all the hotels have is a light conditioner.
