Very useful
The tone generator and finder really got me out of trouble when I lost a cable in a wall.Well worth the money. Easy to use and decent build quality.

Formidable
It works perfectly and the most important part is the strength of the clips. The clips that hook on to the cable are stronger than the cheaply made tone testers, that’s the main selling point for me

Resolved issue, straight away
Had an issue, which was sorted in double quick time, might be amazon 30 day warranty, but in real life it is 1 year. Great company to deal with.

It generates noise to all cable. Imposible to find one core which you looking for.

Needs better instructions
I had originally organised a return of a faulty unit which I then cancelled after finding a you tube video which explains the usage better. The tone generator looks to have a coax type plug on the top, it turns out this is actually the settings switch with a protective shield around it to stop you knocking the switch accidentally. If you don't realise this is a switch then all you hear from the sensor is static buzzing.Once I realised it was a selection switch I found the unit performed correctly.

It works but the quality....
The product works well no problems at all. BUT it's assembled very poorly. The soldering inside is terrible. There is no strain relief of the cables so a sharp tug and it will snap right off. I've disassembled mine and resoldered it. The product itself works fine just put together in a rush by hand

Saves alot of time tracing cables
This kit is invaluable when tracing telephony,, intercom, and even intruder wiring. As an ex-telecom engineer myself, this is your best mate, wouldn't be without it. I bought this recently and already saved my time when tracing out a fault on an urgent nurse call system...
