Works just as good as Head & Shoulders and Selsun Blue
This actually turned out great for me. I bought it because I'm making an effort to minimize my plastic waste. This works just as well, if not better, than Head & Shoulders and Selsun Blue and lasts just about as long as one of the big Head & Shoulders bottles with the pump on top for me (about a month or so), though I'm sure I could actually get it to last longer if I didn't use so much of it (I do really lather it up a lot lol). I also use it for my beard too so it may last longer for you. The smell is great, feels great, it lathers up nicely, and my hair is nice and soft, not dry but not oily either, and basically dandruff free and itch free. It really is a great buy. Just as good as anything else on the market but without the plastic waste, which was kinda a big deal to me. Definitely buying more and honestly, probably subscribing now that I know how long each bar lasts me personally. Definitely something worth buying and I think I found my shampoo of choice. I mean, this is just a shampoo, not conditioner, but it leaves my hair softer than the Head & Shoulders 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner while not doing my hair out completely like a lot of the other anti-dandruff shampoos seem to do. I definitely recommend this to anyone who deals with itchy scalps or dandruff. Oh, and for the record, if I missed a day's shower for any reason with Head & Shoulders or Selsun Blue, my hair would get very oily, itchy, and have a lot of dandruff after just one missed shower or if I didn't have time to wash my hair that day because I was running late or something. That is not the case with this shampoo. My hair does not get oily when I use this at all, not even 3 days later (I tried not washing my hair for 3 days just to see how long this shampoo helps for and after 3 days, my hair was still not oily or dry, still soft, and the itching and dandruff was so mild, it was almost unnoticeable, about equal to just the morning after with the other name big brand stuff). Hopefully that puts into perspective how good this stuff is compared to those other brands. Honestly, I don't think I've ever felt so passionate about shampoo before but this is some good stuff!

Wow! Amazing Medicated Shampoo Bar!
Wow. This shampoo bar was way better than expected. I got this because after my pregnancy, whether due to hormone changes, stress, or both, the seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp was getting out of hand. I've always had this condition but prior to my pregnancy, I would only flare up during times of extreme stress. But after pregnancy, it was constant to the point that some parts of my scalp felt raw and I was losing hair. Being an avid shampoo bar user, I can compare to all the other brands I have used (Viori, Arencia, Ethique, etc). This one was very nice. The size is great . It's bigger than all the brands I named and should last a long very time. It produces thick, creamy, sensory appealing lather. It has a great minty scent and tingly menthol sensation. It's not overly harsh on hair although a conditioner afterward is highly recommended, especially f you have need to use frequently/daily. It did strip the toner/color from my highlights. But, after only three shampoos, the condition of my scalp is already improved and the raw areas seem to be healing and not as sensitive. It's still too early to say if this will cure me or if my hair will come back to it's original fullness, but this is a medicated shampoo that I can see myself using and sticking with, because this may be something I will need to use on an on going basis to manage my condition. I rub this bar on my body too while I shower. Breastfeeding can cause fungus from baby's mouth to transfer to mother's skin, which happened to me. I have prescription medication from my doctor for it but this bar immediately soothes itching fits associated this problem. I'm very happy to have found this product. If you suspect you may be suffering any of the scalp conditions listed in the description, definitely give this a try. It's an inexpensive and easy way to see if this will work for you.

Instant Relief for Itchy, Flaky or Irritated Scalp
I picked this up when my scalp was at its worst — really flaky, oily, and constantly itchy — and it honestly made a noticeable difference after the first use. The most immediate thing I noticed was the cooling sensation. I believe it’s from the zinc combined with peppermint, and it felt incredibly soothing on my irritated & painful scalp. The itching calmed down almost instantly, which was a huge relief. After a few uses, I also saw a reduction in flakes and overall irritation. My scalp felt more balanced instead of swinging between oily and dry. That said, it can be a little drying if used too often. I’ve found it works best as more of a targeted treatment — something I reach for when my scalp is acting up (itching, excess oil, irritation), rather than an everyday shampoo. Other than that it takes a bit longer to build up a good lather compared to liquid shampoos. Once it gets going it’s fine, but it does require a little patience. Overall, if you’re dealing with an itchy, flaky or irritated scalp and want something simple that actually gives relief, this is definitely worth having on hand.😊

Pleasant enough
I’ve got pretty mild dandruff and occasionally itchy scalp such that I typically use H&S (or the like). Was curious to try DermaHarmony’s Zinc Bar since it’s got the same active ingredient- in a solid. Comes in a simple cardboard box typical of bar soap. The scent is a little… odd, perhaps best described as “medicinal mint”. It’s similar to Cremo’s Peppermint Shave Cream. So similar that I looked at the lists of ingredients and 4 of the first 7 are identical. If you have (or can find) that you’ll have a good idea what this smells like. It builds a decent, bubbly lather and goes into your hair far easier than regular bar soap. I like that it rinses quickly and cleanly, leaving my hair and scalp residue free and feeling… natural. I didn’t use conditioner (I have a buzz cut, YMMV). For the next 24-36 hours my scalp felt completely comfortable, and didn’t see any flakes when I gave it a shakedown. Also, Made in the USA (of US and imported ingredients), no artificial colors/scents, and not tested on animals. It’s a nice product, I plan to try some of their other stuff.

A good alternative to shampoos with plastic packaging
This is only the second bar shampoo that I have tried. It produces a good lather, although not quite as sudsy as the previous bar, but more than adequate. The scent is very mild. The bar is large, and nice & solid. I think it will last a long time. That was my major complaint with the prior bar. It was very soft & got used up at a much faster rate than the conditioner, which was sold as a set. It does a good job with general itchiness/flakiness. I have a (fortunately quite small) patch of scalp psoriasis. I was hoping this shampoo might help with that area, but it has not. Most importantly, my hair feels great after shampooing & seems to stay clean & have good body longer than it did with bottled shampoos. Recommend.
