Hi, i have a funny design on my bike. do i need to use the top part of the kick stand? or can i go: bolt, washer, bike, kickstand?

The bolt passes through that top part, then threads into the bottom part. That top part really is just a fancy thick washer. You can use anything you’d like up there that will allow the needed clamping motion - including one or two large washers.

Will it work with a 28” Schwinn Trailway bike?
