Smells odd, works well. One edge kept separating a thin bead of material that left the edge frayed. It doesn't really affect the function as the material blends into itself, but could be annoying if you were looking for a perfect edge-to-edge wrap.

With high power front light needed for winter cycling but bumpy roads causing it to swivel I looked up the cycling forums to get some advice. This tape came highly recommended and a couple of turns round the handlebar before fitting the light gives a solid mount.

Reliable quality friction tape. I use this for bundling audio cables for temporary use, for example 100 meter long snake runs from stage to the mixing console. This tape mostly sticks to itself best, is very strong, and typically doesn't leave much residue unless left on a very long time or in very hot conditions--WAYYY less residue than gaffer tape, duct tape, or e-tape (typical vinyl electrical connection tape).

I needed something to put on the handlebars of my electric scooter to prevent certain mountable accessories from slipping and this worked like a charm! It's got a strange smell to it - almost like sap or something - and it's quite sticky. It's effective enough to only need just enough to wrap around twice and it holds. Now my mounted lights, cell phone holder, and action camera mount stay put! Awesome stuff.
