Trans by Jansport Supermax Multi Emoticon Backpack

I always buy Jansport for my kids because they last forever. My 9 year old finally outgrew the cheapy character backpacks because he now has lots of books and homework and such to carry around. I showed him all the Jansports and told him to pick one. This was it.Now, this is a high quality item, just like the rest. It holds a lot of weight without tearing. There have been some things spilled on/in it and it has washed very well. I put it in the washing machine in a regular load, but I do let it air dry. No issues at all.HOWEVER, there is one really bad problem with this style. You see the flaps that cover the zippers? They are WAY too huge and are literally CONSTANTLY getting stuck in the zipper! I don't mean a little snag here and there, either, I mean totally jammed up. My husband has to use such force to get the flap out that I'm sure the zipper is not going to last much longer. When this gets jammed up at school, my son has to bend all of his items in half to squeeze them through the opening. I have told my son to VERY carefully and very slowly lift the flaps up all the way around the book bag, and THEN unzip it, but he's a kid and it's just not happening. And, honestly, it shouldn't require this much delicacy opening a book bag.While my older two have been using their Jansports for years now, this one is going to need replacing after just a few short months.I gave this one star because, while the quality of the book bag itself is up to Jansport's usual standards, the design flaw with the zipper makes this useless.

Feels sturdy and it is roomy! My 5th grader loves it!! I hope it lasts a couple of years :o). Only not giving it 5 stars because we haven’t had it long enough!

My kid loved it, and she plans to use it for school this year. I can say the emojis pattern is really cool (the gray color is a little bit darker than in the picture, but that doesn't seem to be a problem at all) and judging from other TRANS backpack we have at home, they are very durable, roomy and lightweight for my 7 year old daughter. I definitely would recommend this product.

I purchased this jansport bag for my 5th grade daughter. It seems extremely well made and has a lot of pockets and even a laptop sleeve. She puts about 50 pounds of school material in her bag everyday. It hasn’t shown any signs of wear or tear. Usually by now her backpacks are starting to form holes or at least the seams are starting to come apart.

Got them as school backpacks for my emoji crazy elementary age kids. Seem durable, I wish the side pocket was a little deeper and held tighter, for water bottles.

Ordered this backpack for my middle schooler—she absolutely loves it!! It is cuter in person and great quality, large size, and a laptop pocket for her school-issued computer. Worth every penny!
