I just set it in place and all is good. I can get to the tail light access very easily. Had I not had occasion to get on to the tail light I probably would have attached it with the tape. You are right, there should be a better way of attaching it allowing for access to tail light. **Q: will this fit in a 2021 rubicon unlimited ?** A: Yes it fits. **Q: After installed, if you needed to remove it for some reason, how would you do that and would the tape/adhesive damage anything or leave behind residue** A: There are special Adhesive removers on the market that can help you remove the car double-sided tape easily, and you can search for "How to Remove 3m Tape from Car, Walls, and Plastics" on google, there will be a special teaching article to tell you how to remove the car double-sided tape. If you want to install the product back, buy a special car double-sided tape to attach it to the bottom to install it back. **Q: So has anyone else noticed that the soft top does not go all the way down with these in place???? I think they are awesome for storing stuff though!** A: I have a hardtop. Might mention that I did not secure bin in place with attached tape.
