Exceptional Water Filter
I feel extremely excited writing this review. I ordered this water filter system after spending many hours browsing for a water filter that was reasonably priced and offered the best filtration system for a clean supply of water. This filter was the only one in our search that offered exceptional value for our money. Not only did it not have any requirement for periodic change of filters which most other systems require, but it also had the most thorough filtration process making the water extremely clean and pure. And another amazing feature of this darling was that it was so easy to install and the system was not a bulky item. This beautiful system also offered a life of 5 years. No other filtration system we saw offered this for such an amazing price. We have been using this filter for over a month now, and we are the happiest people. We have tested the water using testing strips and the results are always positive for pureness. We use the water for all kitchen purposes with peace of mind and the water tastes crisp. This system is saving us 50 dollars a week which we used to spend buying water cans from the store. Not to forget to mention the amount of nano plastics we were injestic from these plastics cans which this system has now put an end to. This review will not be complete without mentioning the extraordinary customer service that the owners of this system provide. The team is exceptional and they are with us till the installation is complete and running smoothly. Every step of the installation process they offered guidance and shipped the required installation accessories free of charge, including a small filter system to remove TDS. They were readily available for troubleshooting and followup. And they promise replacement if we encounter any problems during the 5 year period. No company offers such a sweet deal and keeps cutomer first. Thank you Cuzn Family. We are very happy that we became part of the Cuzn family. Extremely happy customer for life.

Still highly effective, prices have gone uppp!
UPDATE 2024 - I bought this for $118 , It is nearly double in cost now. UPDATE 2025 - Went back from 4 to 5 stars. Not for anything the manufacturer did but instead something this filter helped with lately. Seasonal changes result in algae bloom issues in the water source in several regions. This would mean a earthy taste to your water for weeks while the water at the source stabilizes due to temperature variations. This made brushing teeth to drinking water a huge ordeal. While I'm told the water is safe it did not taste well and also there is a mental barrier. Now I had an extra filter in the garage that was unused for a long time since i switched to fridge based water filters. However the nasty water led me to try attaching this CuZn filter under the bathroom sink. In a mere few minutes the water did not have that earthy taste anymore. Now I am still annoyed at how pricey this is compared to when I first bought it but I can for a second time say... this stuff works. Maybe it is someone's low IQ tariffs. Recently I was on a crusade to avoid the excessive use of plastics (BPA free containers, plastic cups etc) I was also looking to ensure that my city water is free from all the additional chemicals via leaching and treatment. I ended up doing some reading to move away from Brita and other similar products. The ideal filter for me would- 1. Eliminate the additives to water that Brita simply could not 2. Improve the taste of water 3. Be easy to use 4. Have a longer life cycle and did not need replacing of parts regularly 5. Not impact water flow rate/pressure 6. Have filter media that did not contribute to the waters taste/be a breeding ground for microbes 7. Be cheap in the long run for per litre of water After reading about the different options CuZn seemed to tick all the boxes. Placed the order and one weekend during an afternoon, I installed it with a wrench and some plumbing tape. It was not hard to install. After a couple days of using it the water reached its promised quality in taste. I held off reviewing to ensure it continued to perform... and it has. A few weeks in the water still tastes good. I ordered a few glass bottles and now between the bottles and the water I think I have met all my goals with this lil adventure. (Pictures show the water in bottles now Vs the initial pour where there was some residue as the water came though the media which was expected)

Promising, with a very accommodating company backing it
This is very easy to install and seems to be a good, long lasting, first line of defense for water filtering. I did not mount it; just cradled it on top of a big, folded towel. You will need to create space as it is quite large. It comes with everything you'd need "normally". Very easy installation, though I had one small leak due to my special setup, described later, which was easily remedied with additional tightening. Once completely installed one needs to run water continuously for ten minutes to allow all the sediment and loose/small particles to run out. The water will be quite "dirty" looking for the first few minutes. After this time the water is supposedly safe to drink, though you will find it cloudy for another few gallons or so. I ordered this without visiting the manufacturers website in detail first - for those that know me I realize I may not have been well that day 😉 I mention this because after I ordered I later went to their site and compared the models relevant to my situation - long lasting (many moons) with the ability to deal with and remove chloramines and fluoride. In doing so I realized I had ordered the wrong one 😣 I contacted them and requested the chloramine and fluoride removing model and they very graciously sent me the desired one with a return label for my mistake. Amazing!!! No charge. Highly recommended. I have pasted one reply from our conversation: "Hello Daxvieor, Hope you had a great weekend! We'd be happy to exchange that item for you. As of Feb 2017, all UC-200 Standard Wide Spectrum Models are now manufactured with SNRF Catalytic Carbon, so they'll preform great with water that is treated with Chlorine or Chloramine. However, we have not yet standardized on the Fluoride reduction stage being included, so we'll get the UC-200F-85 model shipped out to here shortly. I'll be sure to follow up with a tracking# for the exchange package when it departs our facility. Additionally, we'll include a return ship label for UC-200 Wide Spectrum model that you received previously. If it is not too much trouble, would you mind using that included return ship label to mail that unit back to us? Please let us know if you have any additional questions!" For anyone interested in water filtering I have a visitor and family approved setup teed off the cold water line going to the CuZn UC-200F-85 which then proceeds through the under sink New Wave Enviro 10-stage water filtration system conversion kit (with some adapters). I fill up a pur water pitcher (third filtering of the water) and refrigerate it. Water tastes great despite all the chloramines upstream. Having the three stages of filtering, with the long lasting and reasonably priced CuZn filter (if purchased through Amazon; manufacturer's site prices are higher) at the beginning ensures the other two filters last longer since they don't have to filter as much big stuff. Saves money, saves time and tastes great!

Great Customer Service. Great Product. Great Results!
Ok the pros and cons. Con: - The unit is about 18 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter (guessing) and is fairly heavy. So, under the sink installation is a bit tight. However, I will say that I was able to put it under the sink area with my slide out garbage and a disposal - so it's not THAT bad. Just need to keep that in mind. - Instructions are minimal and it would actually be nice if they identified the "In" vs. "Out" flow on the unit itself, not just the instruction sheet. Pros: - First, let me say that Cuzn's customer service is excellent and responsive. - First unit I ordered came with an obvious defect in the brass connector. Aside from the defect, I was able to get this unit connected and working with no leakage (which was my concern). - Between seeing the defect and connecting this unit, I did email Cuzn's support. They responded quickly asking for images of the damage. I sent the images. I informed them of having gotten the unit connected successfully and they still sent out a replacement, which I appreciated very much. OK - Onto the product - I own a coffee roasting business, so I am brewing and testing coffee on a regular basis. When I ran water through my $1000 coffee brewer, It left white residue anywhere it dried, the water was horrible. Installation of CuZn has resulted in a significant reduction (almost completely) of this. It is almost as if the water is being softened as well. - Taste etc: The water taste like water...like NOTHING...the way it should. In fact, if I put my tap water up against this water, you can smell, see, and feel the difference. There is a huge difference in the feel of the water if you take a sip and swish it around in your mouth. Last, there is a massive difference in the chlorinated smell and overall taste. . My water is heavily chlorinated, but like I said - totally different smell between my regular tap and the water coming through the CuZn. You can also see a difference too. Although it's harder to recognize this, it just looks a bit more crystal clear than the regular glass of tap water. - Setup: Easy peasy. I hate plumbing and dealing with it, so even though I hate that...I have to say that the setup was pretty painless. Final: Clearly this gets my thumbs-up. In fact, I liked the results it had with my coffee flavor and coffee maker so much, I got a second unit and installed it in my kitchen and put a "drinking water" faucet on my sink, and installed a "T" to go to my ice maker. My ice cubes are significantly clearer and I have tossed my brita jug away and sold the filters on craigslist. Perhaps some day they'll make a 55 gallon drum version that I can install in-line from my main.

Great filter and easy to install
UPDATE (6/10/2025): Just installed my second CuZn 200 water filter after using the old one for 5+ years without a single problem. The old one was still sending out water without slowing down (and almost as fast as the unfiltered faucet), so I knew it was still filtering the water well, and the water tasted just as good as when we installed it back then. The new CuZn 200 filter is a bit more compact and at least an inch shorter than the old one, so I had to put some packing under it in order for my supply line to my dedicated drinking water faucet to reach comfortably. Other than that, installation was a snap. I flushed the new filter for around 8 minutes, and the water was clear and spring-fresh-tasting! I registered the filter with CuZn.com and got an extended 5-year warranty. If you can find a better filter out there, I’d be very surprised. This filter is worth every penny, and I’m confident I will have healthy, good-tasting drinking water for the next 5+ years. Oh yeah, remember to write the serial number of the filter on the instruction sheet before you install the filter. You will need it when you register your filter. The serial number is on a little sticker on the base of the filter. It would be hard to get at once the filter is installed! *** Bought this back in October, but waited for my previous filter to expire before installing this one. It was very easy, with good instructions and simple set up. Water flow is really good and the taste is great. This is a very substantial filter and very well-made. Worth every penny. I think it’s the best thing out there! I installed mine on a dedicated drinking water faucet next to my kitchen faucet. We use it only to drink and cook with. I wil definitely stick with this filter as long as CuZn continues to make them.

I'm sure I'll get another when this one runs out
Easy install, makes a noticeable difference in water taste (municipal water; idk how it would do for well water). Three or four people in the house noticed when the filter no longer worked, which made it easy to know when it needed replacing. The first one lasted 4 years, which is great. I know the description says 5 years, but we do a lot of cooking and a good amount of entertaining, and therefore a lot of cleaning, too; so we probably use more water than average. I never really expected it to last 5 years; I'm very happy with 4 years, and I'm sure I'll buy another one (my third). For the cost, it works out to about $35/year, which is comparable to what I pay for filters for the refrigerator water dispenser. And a whole lot more water runs through this filter than through the fridge! FWIW I have this on the cold water line only, which does not filter the hot water from the hot water tank, nor does it filter the water to the dishwasher. But it does filter the water to the under sink instant hot water tank for the separate hot water dispenser. Because the instant hot water tap is mostly for making tea and other drinks, having this filter is almost essential. We added one at work, too, because of the instant hot water tap there. Probably good to know that this is for taste. It is not a purifier or a softener. If you have a purifier or a softener, this could pair with those easily, if you want go change the taste. Also good to know that it did not seem to reduce the water pressure at all. It uses the same size and type of hoses as most faucets, so it's easy to hook up. It stands up behind my garbage disposal, do it's out of the way.

Quality, under sink carbon filter, Made in USA !
I purchased in Fall 2023, and replaced with same unit in 2026. Filter is well made with included braided connector, easy to install. After 2 1/2 years I decided to replace due to subtle chlorine taste, I tested the filter's efficiency with the included test kit and it was under the threshold concentration for warranty replacement of 0.25 ppm. I detected a slight taste that may have been from other contaminates than chlorine, and decided to replace the filter. New filter provides cleaner taste and suspect other contaminates may have been passing through filter. I figured I treated approximately 2,500 gallons, cold water used from kitchen sink.

Best for renters / Path to 0 TDS and 0 Chlorine
I initially ordered a reverse osmosis countertop system (Simpure - don’t recommend them) but it arrived with the broken filter and had the fish smell. At around $400 I was extremely disappointed and sent it back. Then I came across this solution that does not require an electric outlet and is very simple to install for someone who’s not a plumber. As a renter I selected the two year unit for $100 just in case we extend our lease. The installation took 10 minutes and was extremely simple, as described. This was actually the part I was the most worried about, but turned out to be a no brainer. It’s logical and easy to follow. I am including a video that shows you how this unit helped me get from 160 or 180 TDS to 0 TDS and 0 Chlorine. As you can see in the video, I’ve tested the water from different cups I filled about every 30 seconds after installation. I skipped the very first batch because it was black due to the particles released from the filter, as it is mentioned in the manual - no worries there. Anyway, as you can see the initial TDS was in the high 300s as the filter was clearing & it eventually got down to around 114 or 120 area after running the water for 3 minutes full on. That is great and let’s not forget, this already filters the lead and chlorine etc. For the record. our default tap water before the installed showed 160 to 180 - so definitely an improvement, but again, still unfiltered. At this stage, I also tested the chlorine levels with the included tester and it did achieve zero! The water smelled pure after the installation, no odor. The Chlorine strip showed the very first - lowest indicator for no chlorine. So, end result is 120 TDS, 0 chlorine. Btw. it is mentioned in the manual that TDS and PPM meter reads are not valid with this unit, but since I had one, I tested it and it showed an improvement. The Chlorine strip (included in the box and again showed 0) which as per manual, SHOULD be used to test with this unit. Now, as in how to get from the 120 TDS to zero TDS, I simply used our 52 cup Zero Water filtration system with the proprietary two filters that cost about $27 for a pair and last about three months or more. (The 52 cup dispenser comes with 2 filters anlready and is about $50. Every few months it’s around $27 for 2 filters from then on). This ladies and gentlemen is a noob friendly and no-electricity requiring $150 system all-in, with the filter that lasts for two years under the sink and a system that last for two-three months with zero chlorine and zero TDS for about $27 at 3 months, or $12 a month. If you were to buy the one year unit at $70 this comes out even cheaper. You can’t beat this cost to performance ratio for this simple set up. Ideally, you could still add a UV filter (which can be purchased on Amazon for under $100 also) and put it in between this unit and the outlet hose, but since we don’t have an outlet under the sink, I couldn’t. New technologies have LED UV that never need a replacement bulb still at that price point. I am very happy with the investment and its ability to remove chlorine and other contaminants to 0 as proven by the tests. The countertop system took care of the rest for very cheap. I recommend this combination for zero TDS and zero chlorine, but don’t forget neither of the systems eliminate water that might have parasites and other contaminants. In other words, you need drinkable water IN to get drinkable high quality water OUT. If I would own my own house, this would be my in-between peace, not my main piece and I would still use a proper (UV) ultraviolet (Reverse Osmosis) RO system - but this one fits the bill for everything else. If you were to buy everything brand new, you would literally go from bad water to pure healthy water in 20-25 minutes including the flushing of the Zero Water filters. Super convenient for something you can literally use for years at a time. I hope this helped.

Wife loves it!
Personally, I can't taste the difference between ditch water and rainwater, but my wife is Canadian and has always lamented the poor taste/quality of tap water here in Perth. This unit gets her tick of approval for water quality, and it gets my tick of approval for value for money, ease of install (did it myself with the excellent instructions provided), and customer service from the company. These guys really care about providing you with a quality water filtration system and a hassle-free experience. Gotta love that.

Highly recommend.
Great filter. Easy to install. 5 year filter. I no longer smell or taste chlorine and other chemicals in our city water. We used to use bottle water, including for our dogs, but I got fed up with that and found this solution. It's perfect!

Excellent customer service
Based in Singapore, I was not sure if I would be able to successfully use this given the differences in plumbing standards between the United States and Singapore. Nevertheless, I took a leap of faith, and decided to give it a go. After trying to find the fittings unsuccessfully, I reached out to the CUZN customer service and it was a lifesaver. CUZN sent over the required fittings to me and provided the plumbing schematics, and with some additional hardware bought from the local store, I was able to get it working. Thanks!

Why did I wait so long?
I'd been using jug filtration systems for many years and after using the CuZn system now for a couple of weeks I am wondering why. After you factor in a jug, replacement filters over 5 years based on a 3 month replacement cycle, taxes etc. you are around $150 TCO. With this system you are around $180 TCO but no need to refill jugs and wait for it to filter, it's right out of the tap, for $30 difference that not a lot pay for the convenience since this lasts for 5 years. The install is so easy and comes with everything you need. You do need your own wrench though. Suggestion to the manufacturer to include a mini wrench like IKEA does? Anyhow, on to the most important thing, how does the water taste since that is where you really find the value in this system. For my family, we love it. We compared it to the jug filtered water and could really notice the things left behind in the jug filtered as opposed to the CuZn system, no after taste at all, super clean and crisp. Initially you will see cloudiness in the water as the filter primes but that passes very quickly and you get a great tasting glass of cool H20. I highly recommend this product to anyone interested in a water filtrations system.
