Beautiful colored wooden pieces
The colors are beautiful and vivid. I love that you can tell that they're handmade by the irregular shape of some of the pieces (very, very slight). It makes the set feel more "personal." I will be teaching my 6yo granddaughter to play, and the bright colors will help to keep her attention. They also came with a nice little pouch to keep them together ❤️

These are the right size, but the craftsmanship is definitely lacking. I just purchased these to convert an old chess board into a checkerboard to play with my grandkids, so it works adequately, but I would never give these as a gift.
