Great Level 2 EV charging solution for van-life! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Flawless performance after a bumpy start! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I paired this Voltage Converter with the J1772 to NEMA 5-15/5-20 Discharger adapter to charge my van's 5,330W battery bank from Level 2 EV stations. The setup performs flawlessly. The catch: One (or both) of the units failed after about 2–3 weeks of initial use. However, Amazon’s customer service was incredible—they sent out replacements before I even shipped the broken ones back. The new set has been running perfectly ever since—highly recommended for van-life!

Reliable voltage converter for small to medium devices.
I purchased the Yinleader 500 W voltage converter to use devices rated for 110 V while traveling to areas with 220 V outlets. The setup was straightforward, and the unit feels solid and well-built. It handles small to medium electronics like chargers, lamps, and small appliances without issues. It stayed cool during use, and the voltage conversion is consistent. However, it’s important to check the wattage of your device—this 500 W converter is not suitable for high-power appliances like hair dryers or heaters. Pros: Solid build quality Easy to use Handles small and medium devices reliably Converts both 110 V → 220 V and 220 V → 110 V Cons: Not suitable for high-wattage devices Slight hum during operation Conclusion: A dependable converter for small to medium electronics. Works well as long as you respect the wattage limits, making it a practical option for travel or international use.

Fantastic small stepup/step down transformer to have!
This is an amazing piece for the price. I was hesitent to buy it because Amazon flagged it as a most frequently returned item. When you know what device you are going to run it on with its limitations, it works perfectly well. I am using a nebulizer rated to 100 watts which perfectly sits on my bathroom platform. Make sure you do not use any devices rated more than 300 Watts for continuous use. Surely keep the item as it helps to convert 110V to 220V (universal world plug in it)

Works well
Very pleased with this, is just what I expected :) I've been using it for my Karcher, coffee machine, pet clipper, carpet cleaner, vacuum... from 120v to 240v

Autotransformer that can produce 120/240V split phase
This is an awesome toroidal autotransformer that can produce 120/240V split phase from an isolated 240V input. Just set the switch to 220 and use the transformer’s center tap as the load neutral, which can be bonded to ground potential. You will need to determine which output socket prong is connected to the center tap. On my unit it was the ‘hot’ side of the 120V outlet, so that’s my neutral. It could have been either side. I’m not using that outlet as a 120V outlet in this application, just connecting that one lead as the neutral in my output and having L1-L2 connected to the input of this unit and connected to the 240V load in parallel. I do that because I’m drawing enough current with this load to pop the (5A?) input breaker on this unit if I use the 240V universal outlet for that instead of paralleling on the input. My application is to use a $150 12VDC to 230VAC inverter as a generator input to a hybrid solar battery system I had installed for my house. In this system the main inverter keeps the split phase load balanced, so all this unit needs to do is bias (center tap) the backup inverter output to the system neutral so it is a valid generator input. This autotransformer can do that since the 230 from the inverter is isolated and would normally just float if not center-tapped to a neutral. The main inverter protects the generator input from active power imbalance in the split phase but it doesn’t provide reactive (Q) support, so this unit must cover the reactive load imbalance from things like a microwave oven. I don’t try to run the washing machine, dryer or sewer pump while on generator, and certainly not the air conditioning, but the microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher are handled fine by this. With this inverter supplying the generator input we can use either our Prius Prime or our Rav4 Prime to provide backup power in an extended grid outage. The Prius especially is a nice backup generator because the engine is so quiet and efficient, and only turns on for about one minute out of 15, using the traction battery in between. Also if we started the outage with a full battery the engine doesn’t turn on at all for the first 8 hours. My unit arrived with a loose central mounting bolt allowing the transformer to flop around in the case, so I opened it up and tightened the bolt. Minus one star. While I had the case open I verified that the wiring connections matched schematically what I expected. This setup has worked well in over twelve hours of testing. I bought this low rated unit because I want to minimize the size, weight and losses in the transformer and this can handle the max 330 VA of unbalanced 120V reactive power when our house is on generator. If you want to have flexibility in your 120V loads, get the transformer that is rated for the highest 120V load you want to support.

Very good, as expected
This is a very good product.

Defective and electrically dangerous! The government should recall as unsafe!
Defective and electrically dangerous! For the 120 volt outlet the Hot and Neutral sides are reversed. (Another reviewer reported the same thing so probably it is defective design rather than a drunk factory worker.) Also, for the 240 volt outlet one Hot side is 240 volts w.r.t. ground; it should be only 120 volts w.r.t. ground. The other “Hot” side is grounded rather than being 120 volts w.r.t. ground opposite from the first Hot side.
