Works well for my application

Best in the business, period.
They're not just super light weight, their the best in the business. I'm a metal worker who likes to always be well protected when I'm grinding metal. Essentially nothing of consequence gets through these. Once you make the switch to these filters, you probably won't want to use anything else ever again. They completely humiliate competing products from even the most reputable welding companies in the world. I know this from direct experience welding and grinding metal. My nose, knows. 3M's own 2297 filters are supposed to be more advanced, but though they are easier to breath through, they don't filter as well when the air gets really filthy. Also, beware of the many knockoff, fake 2097 filters that pretend to be P100 but have no NOISH approval. They look very similar and will fit 3M's masks but they are useless garbage when it comes to actual filtration. They are basically a scam.

Great!
I run a sharpening and restoration business, so I mainly deal with metal and abrasive dust. I also work with solvents and such, in small quantities. These filters therefore fit my needs perfectly. My respirator came with 3M's 60923 cartridges, which give full protection against most vapors and aerosols (whereas these are only "nuisance-level")...but if you don't actually need that protection, switch to these. I still don't smell anything. They breathe easier and they're much, much lighter. Weight strapped to your face is very fatiguing, so this makes a big difference in comfort if you wear a respirator for hours at a stretch as I do. And if you're working in a disposable dust mask (N95/N100) for any length of time, do yourself a favor and upgrade to a proper respirator. You'll be a lot more comfortable.

2 months of experience in hot attic - Thumbs Up!
I'm using these with a 3M #7503 half face-piece respirator while doing a retro-fit of my attic insulation. 40-year-old loose-fill fiberglass infested with squirrel and chipmunk droppings, sunflower husks, acorn remnants etc. I feel much safer using a well-fitting respirator with replaceable filters instead of the various rubberband-style masks. Bought the 2-pair pack for economy but you can also buy a single pair -- fyi, there are lots more Amazon reviews on this filter under the single-pair item. There is a lot of info on filters and govt-jargon from OSHA & NIOSH that can overwhelm a non-expert like me. Someone on the single-pair product page gave these filters a 1 star review which I thought was unwarranted. So after some research, here is some of what I posted there, hope it helps you make the right choice... The "P" doesn't refer to particulate, it means the filter media is strongly-resistant to oil ("oil-Proof"). The other types are R for oil-Resistant and N for Not. Regarding size, particulate filters remove very, very small particles: smaller than 0.3 microns in diameter and that is just the median size of the particles in the test. For comparison, smoke has particles about 2 microns in diameter. "100" means the filter is removing 99.97% of the particles. Compare that to filter types of, say, N99 and N95 which remove 99% and 95%, respectively. But all three types remove the vast majority of very, very small particles; 100-type filters remove the most over the duration of the test. This filter gives "relief against nuisance levels of organic vapors". But it's not for use in high concentrations. And while a filter like this will filter smoke particles, there are also gases in smoke -- DON'T breathe exhaust gases -- if there is CO it can kill you! Finally, I don't weld but per 3M's instruction sheet these can be used to filter "metal fumes produced from welding, brazing, cutting and other operations involving heating of metals." Peace out!

The real deal at a fair price!
Ive seen alot of price-gouging online since the Coronavirus Pandemic started, and I know that filters like these are precious during this critical time. I have to wear a mask for long hours and before i was able to purchase these, I was using the HEAVY organic vapor cartridges with the N95 filters that lock onto the outside of them. The weight pf those filters is VERY fatiguing on my face and neck! The bridge of my nose has been sore and killing me. My neck has been aching so badly and I've been getting bad headaches. These P100's provide better protection than the N95,and since i they work on their own and don't need to be attached to a big heavy cartridge, my mask is much lighter and more comfortable! This is a fantastic product and I'd like to thank the seller too for charging retail price for this 2-pair pack! You are a lifesaver! I paid about $18 for for the box. Bout the same as I'd pay in Home Depot for them, give or take a dollar or two(if they had any available). If you're paying double that or more, you're being ripped off and you should report the seller. Thanks again for charging a fair price for a genuine product!

They do as described
This was bought for various reasons including the intended use. I could use the typical cheap paper mask filters, but I prefer these high quality filters. I could get those other masks with NIOSH ratings of N95, N99, P99, but the P100 is the best and work the best. These also work great with the masks and quickly attach/de-attach. While they do a good job of blocking some smells, after a while they begin to smell odd themselves so replacing frequently is a must if that bothers you.
