Is this suitable for a lg 42pj550?

If you have a tv 22-65 inch flat screen tv of any kind then you are good.

It says from 20 -65 inch we used it for a 43 inch tv but only has a temporary stand but it was very stable

would the legs be able to stand on a bose soundplate? the soundplate is 63mm long-thanks

No idea as to the size of the bose soundplate, what are the overall dimensions of this sound plate, as 63mm is only 6.3 CM which relates to 2.5 inches old money, then NO. BUT if 63 CM, just under 25 inches, yes as long as the depth from front to back is over 36CM, as this is the depth of the feet of this Stand. On my 55 inch TV, the feet of the stand are 54CM ( 21 1/4 inches ) apart and 36Cm in depth ( 14 1/4 inches ), ( VESA on my TV is 300 X 300 ) Hope this helps you.

Is this height adjustable 2.5 inches up or down?

All depends on the size of your VESA on the TV. I could move mine about 5 inches, up or down. Hope this helps.
