Yes—it is made of rubber, not ABS plastic. However, that’s exactly what I was looking for, as I feel the rubber will absorb any strikes as I move things in and out of the vehicle. I used it on a 2023 Defender 90, and think it looks great—not cheap at all, something insinuated by another reviewer. There is a little room all around, as shown in the product photos, which in my opinion made it a little easier to install.

This fits my 2020 Defender perfectly, was easy to install, looks great and protects my bumper from scrapes and scratches. If I would change anything, I would want it to fully cover the bumper area. It leaves about a 2" unprotected area under the cargo door. However, that might be difficult to make due to the bumper design which has a slight angle between the protected area and where it goes under the door. Other than that, very pleased.

I bought the rear bumper protection, and was surprised to see it rolled up in a box when I received it. While I have not seen the OEM product in person, after watching online videos of the install, it appears to be made of a hard plastic, not rubber like this product. Either way, I liked the look and the rubber seemed like it would work well, so I installed it. Just wanted to give a heads up for those expecting an OEM type plastic similar to the "steps" on the hood of the truck or the rear cargo area.
