Review: Great trash receptacle for the price! - I bought this item to replace a kitchen trash bucket I have had for 20 years. The only reason I was replacing it was our city requires trash to be in city-mandated bags, and they keep getting smaller. Those bags no longer fit my bucket, so I needed a new one. I also wanted a receptacle that was easier to clean and does not stain. My old one was of heavy duty plastic, and tomato sauce left an ugly stain so it does not look clean. So far, this automatic one, which runs off batteries so does not need a nearby outlet, works fantastic. I do love the hands-off feature. You do have to shut off the auto feature in order to change out the bags, and there is a small learning curve for installing the bags if you do not want them to show. Other than that, I highly recommend.
